Is anyone else still waiting for their 2016 members pack to arrive?

Didn't go to 74th but I had been given to understand (at least in previous years) that the packs would certainly be out before the members meeting. A pal of mine with name starting with 'M' received his 10 days ago. My name is before his in the alphabet.

That'll be why then. There was a post on the GRRC forum that they prioritised people who had bought 74MM tickets.

I wonder why, it's not as though we needed the car park or lapel badges for the MM.

Lapel badges got you into the Bonhams auction preview.

You need the badge to get into the Bonhams auction preview. This was the main complaint from those who didn't get their packs before last year's meeting. Other than that you are correct, mine never left my pocket.

Edit: Beaten too it!!

I paid for my 74MM tickets in December but was badgeless at the weekend. However the GRRC bods in the Great Hall had a stash of Bonhams entry tickets for those whose packs hadn't arrived.

When I got back home on Sunday there was the pack waiting for me, it had come in Saturday's post.

Yes.

As a new member it's particularly unimpressive that I've nothing yet to show for my membership other than a welcome letter.

A message was sent out saying if you hadn't received your pack to see the GRRC staff in the great hall.

It was, but I'd like to be planning to join further GRRC events and have virtually no info other than for the FoS and Revival.

The online event calendar is empty so apart from looking at the motor circuit diary I'm in the dark as to what I may be able to do with the club.

I'm sure it'll all get sorted out but we are virtually 1/4 the way through my membership year and have yet to be able to book anything.

Another new member here who did attend 74MM and hasn't yet received the membership pack. The people on the phone are very helpful but the admin can appear a little haphazard. Hoping the pack arrives before FOS !

I'm now into my 6th year and my latest pack arrived just under 2 weeks ago - surname begins with "Y" and I didn't attend the 74MM.

It's getting better. Last year no membership packs were sent out before MM. This year, mine arrived 2 weeks beforehand, so that's cool. As others have said, it looks as though members who bought MM tickets got priority. If you're a new member I guess by the time you were in the system it was too late.

All of this is outsourced to the badge supplier and it's there that the delay occours as I understand. There isn't anything that you actually need your membership badge for at MM so it's not the end of the world, but it is nice to feel part of the family.

I hope GRRC and the supplier continue to learn from this, and that next year it's sorted in even better time.

All that information is provided in the newsletters you should be receiving in the post.

All I've received is the invitation to join and the welcome letter with my membership number.

No info about future events at all and this is the first I've heard about newsletters.

Chris

You should start to get email newsletters if you have just joined. It is also worth looking in the members section of the GRRC forums on the Goodwood site for event info.
