Late members pack arrival

You should start to get email newsletters if you have just joined. It is also worth looking in the members section of the GRRC forums on the Goodwood site for event info.

That's my frustration - I have email newsletters and am active on the Members section of the website but cannot find any info on forthcoming events other than FoS and Revival. You should start to get email newsletters if you have just joined. The website events calendar is still blank.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding what will be in the membership pack but I would expect something to let me know about forthcoming events and how to sign up.
The main contents of the pack are your badge, car sticker (and membership card if it's your first year) and the yearbook, which is a record of the previous year's activities. There is a summary of upcoming events but that's all. As previously stated, the up-to-date information and booking forms come in the monthly newsletters which you ought to have been getting.
I agree, the lack of an online calendar is an issue.

Now April and still waiting for membership pack. Ridiculous frankly.
Club office won't consider 'lost in post'' until mid April. 'Post times vary'.....I live within 50 miles radius of the circuit and less than a mile from other members who got there packs three weeks ago.
Any one else still waiting.....?

All I've received is the invitation to join and the welcome letter with my membership number.
No info about future events at all and this is the first I've heard about newsletters.
How long had you been on the waiting list as a matter of interest ? I'm in there somewhere ..... No info about future events at all and this is the first I've heard about newsletters.
I'm still waiting for my damn pack. Been a member for 9 years. Never seen a 'performance' like this one around renewal time. Was on waiting list for three years prior to that. Waste of money if you ask me. But once you're in, you're reluctant to let go!
Used to have a goodwood presence on this forum who could address concerns.

Hope this helps.
Thought I'd update everyone just in case the same thing has happened to others, in respect of other members still waiting their renewal packs.
It turns out, after having pressed the club for an answer as to why I had not received my pack after so long, that there was an error in the renewal process. The club advised that they had installed a new computer ('ticketing'?) system during last year. Although I have been paying by direct debit for a number of years, this new computer system drew down old bank details (from archive) of my previous bank account (which I gave up 8 years ago!), rather than the established, and current, records. I was supposedly sent an email when the club could not claim the payment from 'my bank'. I did not receive the mail (maybe went to clutter/junk) and thus I having given no reply, the membership got cancelled.
The implication is that if you have changed your bank since you became a member and you have not received your pack, it may be that the club has cancelled your membership too. The office asked me to communicate this to other members who had not received their renewal packs.
I have now had my membership reinstated by the club and had to pay via credit card for this year. I'll have to go through the rigmarole next year at renewal time of filling new direct debit forms.
FYI guys.
Rgds, Brin

Someone on the GRRC forums was told by the office that there had been a problem with the membership cards, which is why the packs for new members had been delayed (you only get the card in the year you join).
It's worth pointing out, by the way, that the membership packs usually arrive in the second half of March so apart from new members they haven't been unusually late this year. In fact this has been the first year I'd got mine before the Members' Meeting.
