Great to see loads of cars there in the spring sunshine!

As a fan of anything mid-engine I was particularly interested to see,

  • Lotus 3-Eleven. (Bell and Colvill road registered version)
  • Renault Sport Spyder (x2)
  • Lancia Beta Monte Carlo
  • Zenos E10
  • Ariel Nomad
Peculiarity of the day was some sort of Citroen "sportscar", in the Morgan sense of that word, which appeared to have 2CV underpinnings. Never seen one of those before. (Apologies for lack of pic' - it had four wheels and a sort of boat tail. RHD.)

I'm not there today but I'm guessing you've just seen a Lomax kit car.

I wondered about both Lomax and Burton but remain uncertain. Again, apologies for lack of pic.

I didn't get a full pic but it was named "The flying Marrow"

Yes, "Flying Marrow" with Citroen badges. Very unusual. (The Lomax was further along IIRC).

Perfect! Thanks for the pics and info - I thought it was highly unusual. Anyone know more about it?

Yes, not my kind of car but absolutely brilliant achievement by whoever built it!

I dread to think how it drives but I guess that's not really the point... I think 2CV was intended to let farmers drive across fields without breaking a basket of eggs!
