But his video about the Pistonheads meet in Dec at Goodwood just called out that the cars on show were nothing special and where were the super cars. Not because I'm a protective member of Pistonheads or anything but that event for me was perfect - all the cars from the VW 1.0l Polo to the far more expensive machinery was proudly on display by their owners each one cherished no less than the other irrelevant of value.

Just because I don't have £M's and Mummy and Daddy cant help me doesn't mean that my E36 M3 is any less special to me and to probably a number of other people - it tends to be the only one or one of very few at the events I do go to - so it isn't worth a lot but its quite rare.

That video calling out what we a genuine car fan event as disappointing, as well as the way he presents (like a c@ked up 12 year old) put me off enough to judge him as a cretin!
From memory that was another youtuber "Seen through glass" not Shmee

Yeah that was Seen through glass. I did call him out on that and he did say that it was all tongue in cheek, which does go along with his normal humour

Yeah, Sam does seem to have a better sense of humour than Tim.

Being a Marshall at Goodwood and Brooklands, the thing I would say about the car spotting craze and YouTube posters is that they are doing a good job of getting the younger generations into cars . They may start with Ferrari or Lambo's, but they start looking at other cars.

If it gets the youngsters into our world then that will give the places we love longevity - I hope.

I have no idea what the modern car spotting craze is with relation to YouTube but that sounds like wise words Ed.

Absolutely agree Ed. In all the clubs and societies I've been a member of, they all have the problem of how to engage with younger people (I am 59 and I've frequently been to meetings where I am the youngest member!) I'm not familiar with the YouTubers mentioned but I'm pretty sure that if GoPros, selfie sticks and YouTube had been available when I was a teenager I'd be out using the lot.

Not me this weekend. I was there with my family. But a nice touch, we have to remember we are part of the entertainment, along with keeping people safe.

Touche. To be fair it wasn't actually the Morgan club I was referring to (specifically).

I found it a shame that the exit had nobody directing the traffic, it would make a brilliant feature if the traffic was controlled so the drivers could accelerate up to the "speed limit" for the hoarders of people lining the exit.
Anyway, a few shots from the event:

Very true and a lot of them are quite knowledgeable about a cars stats, I guess things have moved on a bit from when I was a kid playing Supercar Top Trumps, as now kids can actually see these cars for real. If it also gets them into photography and video, then that's not a bad hobby to have.

I really enjoyed it. Not just because of the cars, but amazingly, those You Tubers that are like marmite, they get along with me like we're best buds! Shock, Horror!

But yeah, seeing P1 GTR & F1 GTR together along with loads of other awesome cars was well worth the trip from Dorset!

Well I've seen a few pictures of my car so thanks chaps. Though out of the 5 pictures I've found 3 are off the front bumper only!

Great day - first one with my car but does anyone else have issues viewing photos posted on Flickr - maybe its because I'm trying to view on an ipad, or ipad mini or iphone - have great broadband speed - they just never fully load - a censored site ? Or maybe just memoan

Good points, and not ones that I'd considered before.
