Hi,

Tried to get this info from the Goodwood hotel itself but didn't get a very conclusive answer (English not first language of hotel staff member but seemed to agree I can do what I am suggesting below).

Never been to the FoS before - I'm arriving on the Sun then thought I'd stay at the hotel on the Sun eve and enjoy the event rather than getting caught up with a load of traffic leaving.

Does anyone know if I can park at the hotel then walk to the event and then walk back to it in the evening (meaning I don't have to move the car around and also potentially have a couple of shandies in the afternoon if the opportunity presents itself)?

Thanks (and looking forward to it!)

Steve

The hotel car park gets very busy during the FoS weekend and they often have a chap on the gate making sure that those parking are guests of the hotel, in principle I think you should be fine - just make sure to get their in good time.

Got my other half to check for you as she works there and they said it's fine to park there for the day as you are a guest there.

Once parked it's a very short walk from the back of the hotel to the start line of the hill climb :-)

So have you a confirmed booking in the hotel? I doubt you could roll up and say I'm just checking in on spec'

Many thanks for that, much appreciated!

And yes - I have booked a room!! Just wanted to know if I could park there in the morning and also how far away it is from the course.

Cheers

From where the cars turn to head up to the startline, the hotel is about 3 metres ..... literally!
