So Mrs Haddock and I are off to FOS on Saturday

Never been before so don't know what to expect! (apart from a lot of walking and traffic!)

A few questions for you wonderful PH'ers

- Can i take my own food and booze?

Mrs Haddock is not a huge car fan but wants to come and take photo's etc.
(She was going to go shopping with my Sister whilst a mate and I went to FOS, but due to unforeseen circumstances he can no longer make it so she's coming with me!)

Therefore a glass of vino or G&T will go down nicely! I know prices are going to be "Goodwood prices" for things so be nice if we can take our own provisions. I'm not talking a 24 pack of Stella or anything, just a couple bottles of rouge and picnic stuff for lunch.

Getting there:

I have a couple of options for getting there and wondered if you could help:

- We can drive and park up

- We can get dropped off at Goodwood and picked up again by my sister
(although if a traffic is going to be horrendous then this seems a bit much to make her go out of her way and waste her day)

- We can get a train to Chichester and the shuttle bus

Anyone able to offer any advice?

No issues with taking a picnic. It was my brothers birthday when we went a few years back and we took a few bottles of wine and glasses there was no issue with that either.

You'll be sat in the same traffic to drop off or park up, and parking is free so you may as well drive.

From past years you can take pretty much what you want in, just don't be flaunting it around, they don't check bags but I imagine clearly wheeling in alcohol would probably be frowned upon.

Advice. 3.15 am - leave for FOS now - After yesterday, and it will be a lot busier today people kept in telling me I'd leave to get there now. Had a mate who arrivrd at midday who was 5 miles away at 10.30am. Well worth the visit though. You poms really know how to put on a good motor show. 👏👏👏
