Goodwood 2017

I am not sure if I am prempting next years event but when do you start planning and booking for next years FOS?

We have a Motorhome and would like to get ourselves placed within Goodwood and see the whole event through.

Anyone actually done this as it gets booked up rapidly so finding out where to start would help.

It hinges on the F1 calendar, and that can take quite some time to be finalised. It was October last year before the 2016 date could be set in stone, the provisional F1 calendar changed late September so it's a mugs game trying to guess any earlier.

There is normally a small window between the final F1 calendar and Goodwood announcing the date if you want to really beat the hotel rush, it's still a guessing game at that point but considering how busy the F1 calendar is these days it can be a very well educated guess.

Bit of a bummer as my son is getting married near Chichester end of June / early July but no venue that has accommodation will accept wedding bookings until they have Goodwoods dates ( when they triple/quadruple their prices).

Is it not easier to move the date a week or 2?

i have found it best to book your accomodation when leaving the previous year.
on leaving this year i booked for next year and also booked another place for a few friends.
i know this isnt possible for the goodwood campsites, but if you watch here you will see when sales go live, and that is probably the best time to book
