I have a couple of friends who enter cars in the Settrington Cup - I like it and I wish my children could take part. Presumably it does provide a break for marshals and others in the middle of what is a very busy day!

In my experience rather than nannies its parents running along encouraging fast peddling!

I'm not that keen on the motorcycle racing but I don't think it should be got rid of!

Seems you need to engage your irony meter. The term Nannies was stated in the Christopher Robin / Alice context. If Charlie March wants to provide an entertainment for the assorted Tarquins and Jocastas who comprise the entry for the Settrington then let him do it on the driveway of the main house! I'm not a republican but any time this part of Revival is mentioned / occurring I think 'come the revolution!...'
