Wonder if that will just be the M6 GTLM they've been racing for a couple of years in ALMS/IMSA or something more 'cheating' like the Ford GT (let's face it it's more a GT1 car than a GT2).

Great for Le Mans and GT class.

Shame it's not a LMP entry, but that might come.

I also wonder if other makes will enter cars in the next 2-3 yrs that look a bit more prototype than GT. Though it wouldn't be so bad if they got the bop correct.

New car. Not only would the ACO never allow the M6 (it's not a sports car), BMW were open about that earlier in the year when they were discussing being in the final stages of the decision making process. It was covered in some detail on one of the RLM podcasts, so it's probably googlable on dailysportscar or racer.com, depending on whether it was a GG or MP interview..
