Does anyone know if there are ever general public tickets? I naively thought I could just buy tickets online for next year but the website says I have to be a GRRC member - which I am not.

The ticketing system will open to the general public in the next few days, after the GRRC only period.

I'm having trouble NOT paying for courier delivery - worked perfectly well last year. I live in Ulster and always ask for "post" to save the ridiculous £7 (well I think it's too much....). I selected "post" but can't remove the courier cost from my basket price.

Any ideas?

Just ignore it until you get to the checkout, you can change to free postage before you pay.

(Another) Goodwood I.T. "feature".

Hi Ian,

Just got to the Checkout page where you enter the Credit Card details - is the option to remove the Courier charge after this one? Begrudge paying £7 for something I don't want, and a bit hesitant to add all the cc details and confirm and it just gets paid with the £7 still charged.

Edited to add: Mrs.T66 ended up ringing them as she wanted to get some tickets booked for the Saturday racing and was worried about missing out - easily done, and saved a few pence, bizarrely.

One thing was rather alarming though - hotels are already scarce. For 2016 we booked to stay in Guildford and had a memorable morning drive down on Saturday morning. We've decided to repeat the plan for 2017 (Brighton, as much I love staying there for the Revival weekend, is just too expensive now), but already there's not much available in Guildford for that weekend.

Sorry, I've only just seen this. The delivery method looks like it can be changed but it doesn't stick. From memory, you need to be first logged on and then at the checkout change it in the drop down and press update basket - then it should disappear. If you've got to the credit card details you've gone too far. (If you've never used the system before you might have to create an account first as I suspect not being logged in might be part of the problem).

Hopefully you're sorted now anyway. If not, call the office and get the £7 removed.

Goodwood should really make free postage the default option.

Didn't go this year.
Had all the tickets.
But no classic to go in.
For me, that's the essence. Classic car.
So I sold all the tickets, lost money but heyho.
On the opening day this year I not only bought a full set of tickets but booked accommodation for four nights.
Amazing how many places were already sold out.
I bloody well am going next year. I should have two classics on the road. But I'm going even if I have to buy a car to go in!!

Interesting view. Whilst I don't own a classic having witnessed how many get so close to the event before breaking down that I've always sworn to just take a daily driver.
