Only an hour or so in and loving it already, first time I've had a TV that I can watch YouTube on and so much better than watching on iPad.
Group 1 touring cars looking fabulous, more great stuff to come. Happy days!

Hi, did they give a reason why the Gerry Marshal 1 hour race finished a good few minutes early? Might have been because it was going dark, but I sort of thought that was the point. smile

I went today and took the 911, no drama at all.

The car parks access roads are laid with metal boards to drive on, yes you need to leave those to park

but as above they are in very good nick.

Not sure when the noise curfew is ,maybe 6.30pm although the pa system was still going well after that time.

I was surprised when the chequered came out ,was also expecting a bit longer....irked..maybe enough time

for the poor starting Bryant Camaro to catch the Rover ...smile

Had a pigging brilliant day out today btw ,so much good stuff to see.

Just home from MM, there were a couple of long delays while recoving cars from sessions, and the previous race.

Annoyingly this means a shortened race, but happy neighbours who allow the noisy races to happen.

It was a 1 hour race starting at 5.30 but finished at 6.24 or thereabouts, not long after the safety car had regrouped them all.... was really enjoying it, we felt cheated. smile

Agree, particularly frustrating when you see all the time wasted earlier in the day on boring parade laps!

It was scheduled for a 5:30 start, but looking at my shots from yesterday race start was 5:24, so you got a 1 hour race

All in all, a fantastic couple of days racing. Couldn't fault it!
Only negative for me is Pitlane guy Henry hope, what a misery he is on camera! Hasn't cracked a smile the whole weekend.

Last race today cut short by 3 minutes or so,due to light fading and some cars had no lights.

They got a little behind due to the red flags, for Nick Mason who damaged his Mc and a Ford Falcon stuffed the scenery too.

Maybe don't put no lights cars in the evening slot.

Anyhoo, brilliant day today, shame about the expensive stuff getting damaged.

Brilliant day as ever. The racing in particular this year was superb, even the bikes which I normally wouldn't watch but went with a mate who's a biker so he was giving me a few extra insights as to what was going on.

However....

Did anyone else have to wait over an hour to get out of their car park? Apparently there were only two marshals to supervise the exit procedure until another three arrived and all of a sudden the process became much quicker.
Very unusual that I have to criticise something about Goodwood and the day was terrific as whole but even though I had nowhere urgent to go I would imagine some people on here did. It was just a tiny bit crap.

Not helped by people trying to jump the queue and sneak in further up.

A thoroughly good day aside from the ever escalating cost of food & drink. £15.50 for a cooked breakfast is taking the mickey.

Had a great day yesterday. Had a very quick word with Nick Mason just before he unfortunately pranged his GTR. Racing was excellent, reverse-grid Gerry Marshall race & TVR vs Cobras the highlights for me.

Re: getting out. I agree there was some entitled tossery on view. When we returned to my car one of the exit queues was sitting about two feet behind it, with a still-parked car in front. No way out other than reversing back into a gap in traffic. Despite sitting with reversing lights on no-one gave a toss and car after car just blocked. Just prior to me getting out and trying to actually stop the flow of cars myself someone finally had a bit of common sense and allowed me to move from my space. Otherwise a great day.
