I overheard a couple of the competitor's dads chatting.. one was complaining that he had been " found out and had to put it back to standard"..
Anybody like to hazard a guess as to what mods can be done to a J40?

I notice that that last year several had their hubcaps removed ala stage 1 tuned... whereas this year all had them firmly on.

This is a serious subject.. so no flippant replies, please rolleyes

I would imagine changing pedal crank lengths and positions. Maybe custom axle cranks too. Effectively changing the 'gear ratio'.

I did hear one competitor claiming they trained for the event by peddling on an uphill course. All cars are limited to a power output of 1CP (1 child power).

At least one had them removed on Sunday.
I liked the reply from one lad who'd finished on the podium the day before when being interviewed on the start line...
"So where do you think you'll finish today?"
.........
<pointing down pit straight>, "Over there"
