Just had a look at both the emails, the application one says car and 1x adult, acceptance says car and passengers, cars don’t arrive on their own, so perhaps the wording needs looking at, not displaying tomorrow, going to be a good family morning out though.

Did anyone else go today?

Better than last year I thought, although we got there spot on 07-00 and left at 09-30 there were loads of people still coming in.

Better selection of cars than last year too. Mercedes hypercar, Gordon Murrays latest, Miura, a couple of Sennas, Metro 6R4, couple of P1s. Some good stuff.

(I'll be interested to know what getting out of the car park was like for people leaving later. The exit was turning into a bog even when we left.)

I went too. Got there at 0730 and left at 1000. As you say still lots coming in as I left. I managed to get a "road" out but the grass was very muddy in places.

I got there at 730 and left at 845. Couldn’t believe the amount of people piling in as I was leaving.

I saw one merc take a short cut at one of the muddy exits and get stuck. Can only imagine it got a lot worse than that later on.

Was fantastic seeing those showcase cars arrive. The T50 was quite underwhelming for me.

Great morning out.

My son and I went. Arrived 07:30 really poor bacon sandwich each and a coffee £22. Left at 08.30. Loads of odd people , not many interesting cars . That's the last time .I just don't get what it is now . Lots of people with odd pretend racing shoes . Heaps of people making videos rather than looking at the cars . Fake people with more money than sense . It's a zoo. Won't go again .

Like many things it's a twisted ITV version with adverts of what it used to be .

Not sure if trolling or not, but worth remembering the event is £0 to attend!?

On the other hand, I thought it was brilliant- huge turnout of cars, decent provision of food and coffee (Qs weren't too bad and you shouldn't expect Gordon Ramsey in a food truck)- great selection of cars.

I parked in the paddock following a "spirited" drive with the McLaren Senna in the group- what a car!

No not trolling, just my opinion and perspective that is different to yours . I think it's a hopeless event now . Good that you enjoyed the ride there . I enjoyed mine home

Totally agree, haven't been to one for years and I had gone to all of them since it started.

The BCs started as proper car nerds, going for a NAFFI wagon Bacon roll cooked by the lady who had run it for years and to talk car stuff.

Now you can't get to display, even on the GRRC Members BC if you're a GRRC member (I believe the event is actually separate from the GRRC).

It's just full of people walking their dogs and letting kids brush past cars. The very last one I went to 3 kids actually jumped in one of the vintage cars that was in the Paddock (they didn't know the owner). That did it for me.

Got there at 7:00 took breakfast with us, got to see the AMG project 1, young son filled his boots with many green Lamborghinis / McLaren's, and he had a selfie with Shmee (thanks Tim).

Left around 10, various cars stuck in the car park, still very soft after the MM.

One thing that is out of Goodwood’s control is the driving standards of some attending, got overtaken by a A45 and BMW on the A27 that can’t have been far shy of touching 140 mph, on a damp road it wouldn’t take much at those speeds to take themselves out and whoever is unlucky enough to be in the same place with them.

I left at 10:15ish, they switched the exit of the car park to a hard standing exit. You could see the entrance that had been used was well turned over. This was the car park exiting in to the hotel road.

I went in my GT3, bumped into loads of friends, well worth the cost (£0).

Arrived around 8, left at 11. No issues getting in/out and the roads were pretty clear both ways. The bacon from the cafe was poor, won’t be getting that again.

Nice event, no cost to attend, not too busy and people generally seemed to be there for the cars & a nice morning out with their families.

With 6,000+ members the GRRC still have to make a selection as they wouldn’t all fit in the paddocks/circuit.

I still enjoy the events but I’ve gone from always prioritising them to if something comes up I’ll go to that. Personally I think they’d be better charging a small fee might reduce crowd sizes enough to make it more enjoyable.

Hope his partner had calmed down by then - she wasn’t impressed when it happened.

Saw this one, loved it! I was in my element as there were so many GT3's there!

Just reading over the comments of some of the naysayers. I 100% get where you are coming from. Way too many people who were treating it as a family and dog day out. It was also full of the next generation counting the money rather than the race wins.

That being said... I have been to 2 major events so far this year 80MM and Auto Italia. 80MM was hideously expensive and there was hardly anything to see and it was full to the brim. Auto Italia, not majorly expensive but once again brimmed and cut off at is knees with the bank being closed and Mercedes-Benz world being policed.

For a free event the breakfast club was the best by far. Loads of car and super rare stuff as well. Personally should have expected a price gouged burger. That's why I went to Tim Hortons on the way in. 2 breakfast wraps, 2 doughnut and 2 coffee's, £15 odd.

Totally agree. However, I very much doubt all those 6000 are located in the UK (considering the international pull to events) or are within driving distance to a BC.

Perhaps that's my issue, I'm too close! laugh
