If they do allow roll over , and many take it up , I bet they add yet another extra day . Refund is to original method of payment so that could be tricky for those who bought from first owner .

It already begins on Thursday I just can’t see adding Wednesday or Monday as being feasible. Adding yet another day is a big ask for exhibitors cost wise, the previous added days where making trade and media days open the public so not increasing the overall commitment.

Saturday has always been the most popular day, so the cancellation is going to have an effect on ticket demand next year. I’d guess that Goodwood will increase the prices somewhat reflecting potential demand.

Ended up going to Beaulieu Motor Museum instead. You could definitely tell that a lot of people from Goodwood had the same idea, queue was massive to get in but honestly it took around 20 minutes to get through it.
I went to a local museum on Saturday and one of the staff said on a good day they might normally get 100 people visit, but on Saturday they had 600 visit. Cafe sold out completely and staff understandably getting flustered. They made some useful money thing which was good.

We only had tickets for Saturday (family of four). Absolutely gutted, but just one of those things.

We've agreed to try again next year on the basis that it would be unlikely that there would be another cancellation. We would also try to book some accomodation for the night before (maybe within an hour or so drive rather than 4 1/2 hours from home).

We had four G/A tickets and four grandstand tickets (total c.£500), which we are going to roll over for next year. Any particular reason that's a bad idea? Not saying it is, but any thoughts?

I’d say anyone not rolling over would be stupid. This is going to cause Saturday to be an almost sell out so as the day that always sells out first if you decide to change your plans I suspect they will command a nice premium. Although of course to a PH member I’m sure they’d be priced face value smile

Regarding accommodation. Obviously look in the Chichester area but I’d say Portsmouth and Fareham is a good direction to come from if you can.

Yep - not considered which approach would be best if we could get accomodation. Thanks.

Not sure if it's been mentioned here but they've wiped out the usual priority sales for GRRC, Fellows etc, priority tickets for 2024 will open to all Saturday ticket holders + the usual priority groups from next Monday, 24th July.

I'd suggest Saturday and therefore 4 day tickets are going to sell out fairly quickly.

The 2024 date should be announced soon.

Just done my rollover form. Daft not to really.
Goodwood get to keep my cash and use it during the year to offset this weekend's losses, while I'm now assured of tickets for 2024 and am also immune to any potential rise in entry price.

Whereabouts is the rollover form please? I had the email the other day explaining the refunds, but nothing since.

I might roll my two tickets over, but I can't say with certainty that I will be able to attend until nearer the time. Are the tickets easy to sell on? Do you have to use their selling agent or can they be sold on by any means?

The only email I’ve had regarding next steps has said I will get an automatic refund of 30% of the cost of our weekend tickets.

Decision to cancel was the right one, as disappointing as it was. We couldn’t do Sunday so had sold our tickets to a PHer, so had no option other than to head home early and I was impressed that the roads usually closed around GW had been opened up when we left around 11am, so we got out without issue.

I didn’t have any mobile data whilst at GW so didn’t receive the emails when they were sent, but I did get a couple of SMS messages which appeared to coming from a foreign number and contained an odd-looking link for more info… anyone else get these? My wife phoned me as she had heard it was being cancelled and I told her not to worry as the texts were a scam!

I didn’t book tickets so didn’t get the texts , but I had downloaded Goodwood app so got notification from there and from the Instagram feed . 30% refund should cover our costs for heading across to on Beaulieu on Saturday .

I used the broad white button on the bottom of the email I received on Saturday evening (11PM) titled: " An update regarding your Festival of Speed tickets".
It was the email that detailed which tickets/passes could be rolled over or refunded. The form was very simple, just double checking your contact details really.

Tickets sell very easily either on here or via their official reselling site called Twickets. Face value or less only (plus delivery etc).

On my iPhone the messages came through as “Goodwood” rather than the proxy server they came from. I suspect a limitation of people’s phones as I heard others say the same.

Thanks, I got an 'update' email at 23:02 on Saturday night but was different to yours, just explaining how refunds will be organised, no link for any rollover options. Would you be able to post a link to the rollover form please?
