Goodwood Festival of Speed - free tickets

Nothing in the ST today as per last year.

However, the times+ site has a "competition" but you either need to be a subscriber or at least part of the free preview.

I'm only on the free preview but I still managed to enter.

Thanks also, shame that this would appear to be the last year the Times freebies can be obtained without taking out £50 subscription. Better to buy a Chichester newspaper offer ticket for Saturday or Sunday and get the Friday free next year. On the bright side attendances for the Friday should drop and make for a less frenetic day

Me too... I am in two minds now... I dont want to buy tickets in case the freebies dont turn up, but equally, dont want tickets to sell out if I miss out... anyone know when the freebies are sent out?

The freebies usually arrive on the preceeding Friday causing the frantic rush by the non-PHs to stick them on e-bay. Don't panic, despite many sources telling me that the event sells out, I have bought tickets by phone for collection on the gate and have bought tickets at the FoS on the Friday for the Sunday. The sell out scam is usually inspired by e-bay sellers trying to whip up a bidding war

The T&Cs state: "The competition closes at midday on June 15, 2010 and the winners will be notified on June 15."
