Doh! I'll hold fire for a bit then...
Any idea if it will be email or snail mail?

As the T&Cs state ".......and the winners will be notified on June 15". I assume it'll be email.

I imagine they'll drop through the door some time early next week - last year they arrived a week before the event, presumably to stop people flogging them on eBay.

I've been on Times on-line daily for the last couple of weeks searching and no mention - not even a link saying there's a competition in our subscribers bit and nothing in teh Sunday Supplement either

Silly me - should have looked here.

So - it looks like - in the dire economic climate - I won't be going this year.

Now I'm distraught too. Just tried the site and the times have closed the offer. frown

Trawled the the paper and the internet, can't understand how I missed it this year. Last year they did the same, no notification but just sent out the tickets. If anyone has a spare one or two, please let me know.

Thanks

Last year I knew of 2 other people that entered the 'competition'...everyone got two tickets. It seemed a bit like they keep it open until the tickets are gone. Could be wrong though, maybe we were all lucky.

It actually states that the comp closes on the 15th and winners will be notified in the next seven days, you will know if you have won or not when the tickets arrive by post.

I am prepared to pay for them, but I dont really want to pay out £70 when I could win them in the competition. I am also abit worried how long I can leave it before its too late to buy them.

I have been looking forward to it since that last one.

I dont think it's ever too late to buy them. You can pick them up at the gate.

It's been a few years since you could do that, see this extract from the website FAQ's

Can I buy a ticket on the day

Answer:

Entry is by advance ticket only. It is not possible to buy ticket(s) on the day, and there will be no admission without a ticket.

With this in mind, does anyone know the last available date for purchasing tickets?

There's quite a few on ebay at the moment. No doubt there'll be a lot more once the free ones are delivered.

Sorry my post was about as clear as mud, I meant to say that you can buy them online till they day before then pick them up at the entrance as they obviously can't send them out.

In my experience anyway, don't know if they still let you buy the day before.

I won some tickets smile

Ring this number 020-7782-5000 (It's the general enquires number from the Times+ web site)
Choose option 1, then 1 again, then 2.
Give the nice person your postcode, house number and name, and await the good news.

He coulden't say exactly when they would be posted though.
