The Marshalls new what they were doing because the field for everything else was too wet so that ALL cars had to be parked on the circuit. Given the thankless job they have to do I think its a bit harsh given that they have to try and fit everyone in not just the German marques! To be quite honest many of the cars there today were just ordinary sporting rep mobiles you can see anywhere and so the Zonda, MG, Ferrari California, Mini and others took up the slack a bit. Maybe I've been to so many of these that I have been spoilt by seeing too many Porsche's, Ferrari's etc but to me cars of the day were the gorgeous 1963 DKW Auto Union and the two Gullwing Mercedes. Agree with the cold bit though, it was chilly but hey it is November. At least it wasn't raining!
Agreed they always do a great job there, could do with a 'doorbh' deciding which car gets to go where, too many of the same thing, Porsches and rep cars meant it felt samey though there where some very interesting little nuggets tucked away it was the same problem on the softtop morning after the 100th mx-5 they start getting a little too much
Shame as the only real solution would be upsetting too many others thinking they had the car with what it takes when they arrive.
Great day out. Tonymor, thanks for organising the Guildford convoy. Saw some rare and interesting metal there today. Luckily a clear, dry, but cold day. Last day of top down cruising for 2010?
Agree with the comments on the Marshalling. My standard Z4 didn't get on the grid, fair enough, there's a few of them. But Nissan Sunny, MkII Astra, Fiat Punto? Although we did joke, they've probably been broken down since the last banger meet.
See some of my pics here.

Looking forward to the next breakfast club.

Just looking at Photogirl's pictures of this morning, made me wonder, is a Zonda German?
Proper AMG engine, took a little bit of persuading on the gate to get in!matc said:

I'm still trying to thaw my fingers out after this morning! Great turnout though - the biggest I've seen. I grabbed some shots before my fingers froze: http://lindsaydobsonphotography.com/blog/?p=1544
Some cracking photos there... Some more pics that my brother took. The Z8 had a nice hoon with us for a while on the way back home:

A few more here - nothing in any way creative, just some of the vehicles I thought were nice / interesting:

God almighty it was cold. I had gone down by bike, and left early just so I could turn my heated vest back on!
A great return to form after the previous month's sodden tat:

Thankyou for compliment and indeed for joining the guildford convoy. I am hoping to go to the december breakfast club ie goodwood i went last year it was amazing to see what effort people had made to make their cars look like they were santas only transport. i am expecting therefore to arrange another convoy , any takers? also early advice that Brooklanrs museum have a new year day meet it is an incredible mix of all vehicles well worth a day out. i am one of the volunteer marshalls who helps there quite regularly so i know how it can be for such people ie can you ever please all the people all the time? Lastly i beleive brooklands are going to start their own [brooklands breakfasts} in the new year i will post out details as soon as i get them could be a good place for a run out?

Please do keep us informed TOny, I was at Brooklands last New Year's day in my Aston and as you say it was a good way to shake off the cobwebs. A breakfast meet would be a great idea. R...tonymor said:
