I have a Specialized stumpjumper which I use on and off road. I originally bought a set of Shimano A530 spd pedals which have now developed a clicking sound which the bike shop advise is due to the pedals not being suitable for my riding style.

Due to this the bike shop have offered to exchange them for different pedals so I am looking for recommendations on which pedals to go for.

I was think something like the Shimano M545 or M647 DX but open to suggestions.

Why don't you remove the axles from the pedals you have, clean and grease them, and reinstall? Remembering also to lubricate the springs and all moving parts?

I have always used the M520/40 and are great. They are double sided compared to yours which are single I think... Other than that pretty much the same.
