I saw Mattviatura's thread about his Mongoose so did a search for some more OS BMXes.
I thought i'd post a coupl eof pictures of a few of mine, I've got about nine original BMXes in total, some complete, some in bits. All with original bits.

I think I might put some of them on eBay though.

Raleigh Aero burner

Pride and joy - rare as rocking horse sh*t - Gen 1 Haro Freestyler

25th Anniversary (no 239 of 250) Haro Freestyler

Aero Reflex Freestyler

Skyway Streetbeat (built for the girlfriend)

A faithful reproduction of my own BMX from the 80s - Skyway T/A

Haro Freestyler (Master)

And finally a shot of my garage containig a few bikes plus some bits and pieces (and the tank of my Yamaha XV Dragstar in shot too). Front left is another Skyway T/A race bike in white.

Another shot of the garage showing the frames and forks of two more Skyway Streetbeats

Apart from the Chrome T/A and the Haro Master, the others will go up on eBay I think.

Loving those massive CW bars. Had them on my old Redline 600 (along with Oakley B1Bs, can't recall the padset). I wonder if I'd still feel cool as fk wearing a pair of JT racing trousers now as I did then...

Cracking collection!

My brother is currently restoring our other brother's PK Ripper. I'll see if I can get a pic.

Dear lord, I didnt realise I missed my old BMX till I saw yours!

I had a custom built job that evolved as I went along. It was a mongoose racing frame I think. Haro handle bars, Redline grips, metal brake levellers, bulldog calipers, chunky headset, disc crank and god knows what else now the memory is failing me!

Everything was a named part, I so wish I hadnt got rid of it. That collection is mint!

When the white T/A goes on could you do me a favour and let me know.

Those graphics on the Haro Freestyler just brought the memories flooding back.

I've also got a Mk1 Burner (red/yellow) and a Raleigh Team Aero Pro like yours, all original awaiting full restoration.

Sure thing mate. Don't know when yet, but it won't be too long.

I wish I had a picture of the Super Tuff Burner and GT Pro Performer but I built them then sold them on, then remembered I didn't have a picture of either. All i've got is a picture of the GT f&f.

Love the Raleigh Aero Burner

Always wanted one as a kid but my mom couldn't afford one so I used to race (competitively, not just against my mates) on a Black Burner IIRC

Fantastic collection smile

I remember saving up my pocket money to buy a set of skyway tuff II wheels - £70 i think they were, 15 odd years ago!

Had a mongoose as well and of course started with a Rayleigh Burner.

Hats off to you OP.. superb collection !

Lordy, this takes me back ! So much so that I must go round to my dad's and see what I can haul out of the back of the garage, my original bikes are still there plus a whole lot of spares, there will be :

2x GT Pro's, both with redline flight cranks, shimano's, skinny's etc (my old race bikes)
1x Kuwahara (sp?)
1x Eddie Fiola GT performer

From memory there is a bunch of haro stuff as well, had no idea till I stumbled across this thread there was nostalgic value (makes sense though) rising in these old babies.

Must figure out what their worth restored :-)

My knowledge is getting somewhat rusty of late but potentially that lot could be worth a small fortune if everything is in good nick or can be brought back to good condition. For instance, if your Haro stuff includes is a first gen Freestyler like the one in my picture second down from top, the the frame and forks alone are worth upwards of a grand if in good condition. The Kashimax seat in that picture on its own is worth over a ton now.

Decent Redline Flights are worth a tidy sum too if they are first gen ones, which are now as rare as rocking horse excrement. The second gen ones (known as 401) would set you back hundreds of pounds for a good quality complete set (crank arms, spindles etc).

I'd love to see some pictures of that lot, especially the Fiola Performer. I was considering getting my Performer powdercoated Fiola yellow and doing a Fiola replica but the chrome was just too good quality to muck with. I actually wish I had never sold the Performer to be honest. I did love that bike but I got such a huge offer that it was a no brainer and I jumped at the chance.

The decent OS BMX stuff can go for silly money on eBay to the right collector. I've not bought anything for a while so prices may have fluctuated up and down but I reckon prices would have gone up on most stuff as it becomes rarer.

If you ever come across a Skyway frame pad, I'd be very interested. All those I've seen more recently appear to be too small, and don't sit centrally around the teardrop-shaped tubing. My original did. I've only a pair of velcro straps holding my rear brake cable to the frame - it deserves something better.

Shocks, if you're looking to get shot please let me know. I'm after a Kuwahara ET and a GT Pro F+F (must be chrome, must NOT have GT stamped in the top tube extension, must have the NORA Cup sticker and yes I am anal).

Anyone else, I'd like a Zeronine plate if anyone has one surplus to requirements please let me know how much.

Well after wading through the store that is my dads garage I finally surfaced the following, though the kit and spares box (which is huge) is still buried and with it all the other bits and pieces (DKs, redlines - seems my bro swapped them off for one piece crank) still they are pretty poor shape, though I think they will restore fine. Now starts a project to restore these babies to their prime !!

The GT has a lot of history and saw me collect a few trophies over the racing years - it also had Chris Hoy on it a few times ! He and I used to race together back in the day smile

Will take some work but will post a blog of restoration once I get organised and dig out all the other bits and pieces we have stored and there is a hell of a lot of it ! But we do have all the bits - some may need to replaced but I'm looking forward to this !
