Frame Sizes

I'm after a 2011 Rockhopper, but I'm not sure on frame sizes.

I'm 5'9 and I'm looking at a 19 inch frame but after looking around it seems I should go for the smaller size of 17.5 inches.

My inseam is 32 inches.

Nowhere seems to have one in stock at the moment so I can't really trial one either.

Thoughts?

Oh and by the way, if it makes any difference, I'm just under 15 stone.

Your inside leg is long for your height, so maybe the 19" would be better. Try to find a local shop with bikes you can sit on though, and bear in mind that you can try Hardrock models as they are the same geometry.

I'm 6'1" and used to ride a 19" Spesh. I think it would be too big for you

I have an 18 inch frame, I'm the same height and inside leg as you.

If anything the bike feels a tad large.

Take the smaller frame all day long! It'll be more fun


but to be honest this is really all keyboard bleating, you'd have to go and sit on two to make a fully informed decision.
