I should add, just to keep Bedford Rascal happy, that the last time someone managed to hold my wheel for any period of time was early spring 2007. Which incidentally was the last time I used the small ring I think?

Oh, has anyone got a spare 11t cog? I've worn mine smooth.

If you do, then give them a turn, or let them know you're there. Its considered a bit rude otherwise...
Yes, of course I take my turn. I ride to work with a lead position shy colleague who sees me as some sort of commuting domestique only along to make his ride easier wink

Good opportunity to upgrade to 11 speed.

I've noticed an oddity in the Activity Feed.

On my commute yesterday morning, I managed my for the first time in 4 years of commuting to duck under an hour of moving time. I was therefore somewhat surprised when I uploaded the ride to see in the activity feed that I'd apparently pulled off a staggering display of constant speed across every segments, based on the fact that I'd apparently managed this feat without registering a single personal podium time on any of the dozens of segments on my ride up CS7.

When I went into the ride, however, I had in fact got top 3 times on five segments, including one which covers the whole 6 miles I'm on CS7 itself. The little cup icon with the number 5 didn't display in the activity feed until I'd refreshed the activity feed a couple of times though.

Anyone else had this, or is it just me?

Yes it takes a bit of time to register placings. Especially when there are so many segments through London.

Is it not new then? I've been of the bike for three weeks on holiday, but I don't remember seeing happen before?

Is Strava not picking up GPS an app issue or a problem with my phone?
Seems to struggle anywhere in a mile radius of my house, which is annoying given I usually set off riding/running from there hehe

Do you have privacy setup there?

yes
But I don't seem to 'suddenly' get GPS working when I get out of the 1-mile radius.
Also, there hasn't always been a problem yet I've always had the home privacy settings on Strava since I started using it last year.

Phone is an LG Android.

Used Strava on my Samsung S4 last week, Garmin was messing around so first time I've used it on my phone. Strange when it started speaking to me after I completed a segment.

New 'Effort Comparison' on Strava looks pretty cool, compare your own segment to another with the flyby type circles.

Going back to my GPS issue for anyone interested.
I've reset the GPS data cache on the phone using the GPS Status app so hopefully that works!

Anyone any idea why strava might be taking time off my runs, todays time was 21.44 for park run on my garmin but strava has changed it to 21.26. Why has it deleted 18 seconds? It shows the moving time as 21.26 and elapsed time as 21.44 but i didn't stop??? very odd!

This will obviously be cocking up y mile times and segments.

Did you stop/slow right down for any obstructions for 18 seconds? Crossing a road or similar?
Mine sometimes loses a few seconds here and there for unexplained reasons too.

Nope it was a park run, no roads to cross. I didn't stop anywhere at all or slow right down.

Hmm, probably just the inaccuracy of Strava tbh.

Over distance maybe, but time is time isn't it?
