No, but as he goes by that name here I offered him the same level of anonymity.

(Knowing full well that a 2 second search on the segment reveals both our names on Strava).

I'm going to have to change my commute in on Wednesday now, can't be having that.

Chap that I've started using for maintenance has just beasted a pile of KOMs near me.

If I didn't know him and the route wasn't on- and off-road I'd be calling shenanigans, but some of the (already quick) times have been decimated. On a full-sus MTB too!

I think there is some GPS error at play there.

That was my first thought too, but I've never seen something like GPS drift affect a whole ride like that.

I also know those woods well and the off-road stuff seems spot on (there aren't many segments in the woods, it's not very well-travelled and there are a lot of similar paths and forks which makes sticking to a segment tricky)

As much as Mr D became the butt of a lot of jokes, his ability on a bike looks as if it has come on leaps and bounds in the past year! It looks to me like he has put a lot of the advice offered on the forum into practice, and also seems to ride with some quite strong riders - I think he could probably give the majority of riders on here a run for their money!

I follow him on Strava and he regularly does 1000-1250km a month (assuming I have the right person), definitely putting the time in.

Thanks Maddad, yes you do follow me Alex and Fourmotion that little segment is becoming quite a fun little battle between us. Its not ideal with the various T Junctions and I did get stuck on Sunday at the Jacobswell turning, I reckon I lost around 10 seconds in total.

It's been a great year again for me on the bike, I have hit just shy of 14'000 miles in two years of road riding. That's all going to change soon though as the wife's maternity leave comes to an end this year and cycling will go from being top priority to quite a bit further down the chain of importance. I will still commute but weekends will once again become difficult meaning far fewer group rides and events which I think are very important if you want to improve.

Stop trolling then?

Good work Dizzieeeeeeeee. I'll maybe have a go at that one when I head down that way, I do prefer heading west in the winter, less crap on the roads.

Real or no real:

What you reckon?

The bit that peaked my interest was the section of 60km/h for 1.5 minutes on flat road. The cornering speeds do seem realistic though. I think.

Looking at the analysis my thinking is a motor vehicle of some kind.

He has similar ride profiles from last year that appear to be flagged.
