This should mean that when you plug your Garmin into the PC, any new rides are automatically uploaded to Garmin Connect (which nobody cares about) and thence to Strava (which they do!)
The 810 has Bluetooth so all you need is the garmin connect app on your phone, synch it with Strava and when you finish a ride you can upload the ride to garmin connect via Bluetooth and it'll appear on your Strave feed. Might take a couple of attempts first time round but works very well.I only "upgraded" from an 800 to an 810 so I didn't have to switch my computer on every time I'd done a ride.
So did my event today - ride to it and saved my activity, did the event and saved it and then rode home and saved it.
After connecting the main event has transferred to garmin connect and straight onto strava but the ride there and back haven't.
They show on the garmin, but won't download to the connect and so not onto strava - tried re syncing etc but no joy
Also phone and garmin refuse to connect over Bluetooth

Yeah, so choosing Hog Hill for my first 3/4 probably wasn't my greatest idea. There are some seriously handy 3rd cats it seems and the pace was much hotter than the 4th cat races I did earlier in the year.
Managed half then went pop, I was basically on a countdown to destruction from the start. The increase in pace for the second prime did me in, positioning didn't help either. All good fun though!

Strava on my Android mobile isn't syncing and just errors. If I reboot the 'phone, will it keep my ride today?
Happened to me after a 6 hour ride the other week. I *knew* it would happen so used a 2nd gps as well. When I had to reboot the phone it had indeed lost the ride You can add it manually of course, but without ascent so it's a bit bobbins really.Dizeee said:
On the new app, yes.
For every segment, when you click on it once, it opens up the segment details and it shows you your rank out of every option all at once in a quickview, so your rank for overall / the year / in your clubs / who your following.
Not so easy on the website though/
Cheers I've seen that though. What I meant was something that summarises all of that on one page - so I could see if I am First on any segment, at a glance. Go to 'My Profile' and on the left, just below the 'personal heatmap' blurb, there are four 'folder tabs', 'Overview', 'Trophy case' (Premium only), 'Following' and then 'KOMs/CRs'. Clicking on the right-most one of these will bring up all of your current KOMs/CRs so any segment you are first on will be listed there, KOMs for cycling, CRs for running.Hope that's what you meant, and that it was helpful...

Ooh, they've added "Go to Flybys" on the web app. Nice
That is pretty cool. It saves a bit of 'cut and paste' action. How long before they lock it down as a "Premium" feature, though? I like it, as it allows me to say a proper "Hello!" to riders who I saw out on the road.#nottooprotosayhello

Annoyed that the Garmin communicator plug in no longer works with Chrome. Might have to sort out Bluetooth and the 'phone / Garmin connect method at this rate.
Just simply click 'upload from file' and then navigate to the Garmin/activities folder in the Garmin and you'll see your latest activity to upload.JEA1K said:
