I think it's a Chrome issue rather than a settings issue Yellowjack.

I'm also a Chrome user and the auto sync thingy no longer works for me. I do the same as you though and just go in and upload manually from the history file on the device.
Agreed. Same issue here.
yes, Chrome no longer supports ANY plug ins.

Trouble with Chrome is that the software auto updates, so it can update itself to a new version, which has features/modified/removed/added unbeknown to you, so all of a sudden features stop working!

We had PDF software that interfaces with Chrome, all of a sudden overnight it stopped working correctly , as Google revised a featureset of Chrome and now it generated PDFs no longer worked with our software. Was a bloody ball ache as we generate 1000s of PDFs using this method and all of a sudden without warning it stopped working for all employees!

IE does this now, but traditionally you would have to "choose" to update it, hence you would presume that the update caused the issue, rather than Chrome doing it when you would be unaware, hence "whys it stopped working"

Ive given up on Chrome back on IE, Chrome was great at first too much of a ballache for me now . The auto translate feature is good tho

No, it's just one type of plugins which is disabled - NPAPI. There are various other types developers can use, and they were given a year or so of notice prior to this.

Anyway, you can reenable NPAPI in chrome://flags but it will be going permanently in the next few months. Hopefully garmin will have sorted their st out by then.

Are you guys using a garmin connect plugin to chrome rather than the standalone application?

Huh?

The auto-sync feature seems to have started working again of it's own accord. WTF?

Last night, I started to manually upload a ride, but by the time I'd edited the title and made a comment, I got the message about it being a duplicate activity. Upon checking the notifications in 'dashboard', sure enough, there it was - "your ride is available".

#confused?

I noticed this too. I've been uploading rides to Golden Cheetah first and just assumed I had confused it, but low and behold it started working again yesterday.

No white line crossing, was an X5 I caught and had to brake quite heavily towards the end to prevent rear ending it.

Hi Mike, yes on your old Planet X - clip on bars helped a lot getting this fast down the hill, had to get rid of the Vision 30 wheels as found them impossible if I punctured, couldn't separate tyres from rims, else love it. :-)

I was going to post on here and ask why my biggest all-time climb was 16ft. But I notice today, after climbing 2,000ft in 30 miles, that my biggest all-time climb is now 17 ft... which still doesn't seem much. Why?

Feck me, you have 7 seconds on my best time and I don't think I could have gone much faster - tucked, chest on top tube, spinning at 115+ rpm! That said I struggle with decent times when the road points down, 68kgs is an advantage going up - not so much going down!

Excellent effort sir - #nervesofsteel

Cheers :-) I was on the tri bars fast as I could manage and stayed on them as late as I dared to the bend when I shifted to the hoods, I think the reason I got such a good time was entering the segment fast chasing my mate. I 'd say faster is possible still keeping on the correct side of the road if you had no cars slowing for the lights at the bottom.

Now I have to have another crack at Berins Hill, I have joint 3rd down it, (no 2nd place) but tri bars make hell of a difference so I think it could be bettered.

Looks like GPS glitch to me. 63 mph to 0 in less than a few seconds.

That'll be braking to try and stop rear ending the X5, I was locking up, mate was doing 70kph and he said I went past like he was stood still.

Maybe it it a glitch, but I don't think significant, if I was 1 sec slower it's still KOM, Garmin 800 so decent refresh rate.

Do you have smart recording on your Garmin? If so almost certainly not accurate.

I'd also question your sanity if you did actually get to 63 mph, but it's not likely given even in the pro tour they rarely get to that speed down massively long and closed road downhills.
