This looks fun! smile

Is there any way of seeing what sections of a route it includes, or do you just have to ride it then plug it in to find out? I would assume there are a few sections of CS7 in there?

You could look at the bikeradar thread on strava, as a lot of the sections get mentioned there, but best bet is to just ride it and find out smile

You're probably right! I'm just scared at the thought of finding out how slow and crap I really am! hehe

Just got back from a ride.... fitness on the bike feels appalling, cursing myself at every incline as it just feels like I have no climbing legs whatsoever any more since focussing on run this year - I'm definitely getting a turbo trainer in November and putting in a few hours a week.

Any critical analysis of the ride is welcomed... it'll all be used for the hurt locker wink
I'm guessing your HR monitor had a strange spike at 13 minutes or did you really reach a HR 216.

My leg is my excuse for being slow at the minute.

Spike I'd say - I'm finding the legs more of a problem than the Cardio... need to get the legs up to task, they just feel like they lack strength in the climbs, used to be the opposite with my lungs fit to burst - might just need to push harder and remember what real bike hurt feels like again...

Real bike hurt hurts.

I was on the last climb of a ride the other day which has a few 15%+ efforts and I wanted to stop and get off!!

Planning to, but my leg is hurting a bit at the minute. And I'm meant to be going out on Saturday night for a booze up, so I might head out sat morning instead tbh.

Downloaded this the other day and forgot about it. I remembered toward the end of today's ride so stopped and put it on. Pushed on the way back, hoping for decent speeds/times to post and find that none of my route is logged/registered with anyone else's times frown

It's a shame it doesn't alert you to the sections coming up live - that way when you're out you'd have your own mini-TTs along the way :-)

Is there a way to see where the 'climbs' start and finish? I put it on this morning for my commute on the CS7 and there's 3 'climbs' (I say climbs, they're more like molehills) but I was only top 20 on all 3 which just isn't good enough hehe Legs were feeling heavy this morning so wasn't really going for it but the app looks good smile

Don't know, at the moment on the road it's not any different to runkeeper or any of those similar apps to me... the killer feature would be a countdown to a "section" so you'd know when it starts and stops, it'd make rides more fun and give you some real challenges.

Of course caveat around the rider needing to be sensible so's not to use it in inappropriate conditions.

I was forced off the bike today after a mini off yesterday as I powered away from a set of lights I thought my foot had clipped in but instead it was on the other side of the pedal so it slipped right off and smacked my ribs on my stem and also half my cleat snapped off when it hit the floor!! Grrr! And then to top it off it managed to round the heads of 2 of the cleat bolts so the old snapped cleat is stuck on my shoe until I can pop over to my Dad's to borrow his dremel!

On the plus ride was a pretty fast commute home for rush hour with an average speed of 20mph exactly!

Saturday I think.

It will be a slightly more gentle pace as the other two are a bit slower.

will be good to watch the hill climb though!
