Having read a few books about long bike trips I'd say probably not, no. They all tend to be a bit dull, just a list of towns, the distance between each town and what the author had for lunch & dinner that day.

As much as cycling around the world seems like a huge glamorous adventure which I suppose it is in a way, if you were to watch or read about what I do each day it's quite repetitive, especially over almost 4 years. Eat sleep ride repeat....

It looks like the nearest one to me is Gatwick but I'm not sure I'd want to cycle that far....

Just clicked on page 1, same jacket as when you set off - looks a little looser now! biggrin
I've lost about 10kg so don't believe everything health experts tell you. You can live on a diet of beer, fizzy drinks, sugary treats & junk food and still lose weight!

That doesn't narrow down the location much, given that "cycling distance of Horsham" covers most of the globe in your case hehe

Utterly incredible effort smile

I'm going to be live on BBC Radio Sussex this morning at 10:40. For those of you who don't live in Sussex it's also available on iPlayer.

While I think about it, is this the sort of thing that PH puts in the news these days? I know it's not really car related but I've been a member on here for over 11 years and they could talk about the Spa / Ring laps for the car angle. Would more people be interested in reading about my travels who wouldn't be seen dead on a bike now that they can drive and never venture in to Pedal Powered do you think?

I vaguely remember emailing PH news just after I'd been to the Ring but didn't hear back from them. Who are the resident PH staff / bike nuts these days? Anything you can do to help?

Awesome. Many people dream of doing this but few actually do and it's cool that you're one of them.

Hi Darren, I remember you trying to lift my bike with one hand. I normally use two and even then it's a struggle! laugh
