Absolutely gorgeous out there this morning, not a breath of wind, a lovely heat haze, warm and basically perfect.

I lashed in a 25 mile run out to the coast this morning, got me right back into the swing of it, enjoy folks.

Moved to Putney last week so had my first commute in from there today following the river. Nice route but very busy in areas!

Gradually my powers are returning, managed a 1hour 10m for my 21 mile ride, still some way from last years end of summer times, but it is a decent start.

Another month and a few pounds less and we will see.

Beautiful morning, traffic pretty light.

Loved this morning's commute but did encounter 3 idiots on bikes who all went right through red lights.

One woman dismounted and walked across the chevron box as if it made things any better - still a red dear!

One other guy sailed through a red and around the corner - sans helmet and carrying a Costa coffee cup as he cycled.

Nae wonder cyclists get a bad rep!

Blinking flip it's hot down here in that London.

Slept in this morning so was an hour later leaving - which meant more traffic and warmer temps. Also I seem to have a head full of allergies, so I wasn't on great form today. Cycling home at 3pm is going to be a sweatbox!

First ride in on Project Singlespeed. Why is it I always encounter the MAMIL's when I'm on a completely unsuitable bike? happened last friday where I managed to hang on but couldnt pass and this morning where I did pass, then he came past and I couldnt get my legs spinning quick enough to keep up.

Back on the roadie Wednesday, probably wont see anyone!!!!

Rode to the station as usual, trains all cancelled so rode home again then drove to work.

By my reckoning I offset my own carbon emissions so I shouldn't have to pay the congestion charge..?

First ride in for 3wks due to travelling a lot round the region, legs in good form, just a bit blunt...

Out of routine so spent ages getting ready this morning - so late, cursing the regime cycling to work dictates.

Now sat at work waiting for wife to turn up with spare keys for the Kryptonite lock as the key bent unlocking the stiff lock this evening.

Cue annoyed wife and grumpy 8mth old, plus ride home with only rear light in the dark frown

I love cycling to work... today however is testing my resolve to up the km's for the nnext 3wks before 3wks off in Europe.

The weather just seems to be getting better as the day goes on. So good in fact, I'm going to do another 25 miler home and head back out to the coast I think!

In stark contrast to yesterday, this morning was chilly, slightly damp, and so foggy I couldn't see 50 yds in front of me lol.

Ahhh, the coast.

Weather was a bit gloomy this morning but not cold, windy or damp so went for it.

10 mins in, the heavens opened and I arrived at work looking like I've fallen in a river... Great fun.

Decent ride in today (at odds with most of you guys!) forecast rain for later though. Nothing startling, although tomorrow is leg day at the gym. Mother of god.

WOke up expecting heavy rain, but was sunshine!

Got a bit wet from spray, was quite windy, legs were tired too and hated the first half, once I got on the last gravel bit for a couple of miles it was great, guess it took me 25 mins to warm up, should have stretched last night and this morning!

Slept in this morning. Had an early meeting so leapt out of of bed, jumped on the bike and set off to work enjoying the warm, balmy weather and the feeling of freedom. After five miles I noticed that I'd forgotten my helmet.

Doh.

Went a bit slower after that.

Glad it's not just me that does that. I got halfway in before realising I wasn't wearing gloves once.

I've done that. I only noticed because I went to adjust it, and found that there was nothing to adjust. I've also forgotten to take boxers to work...

Was ok on the ride in this morning, but yesterday evening was like bloody nodder-geddon..
Had 2 inept morons actually ride into me after not bothering to shoulder check. Was not a happy bunny at all!
