I bet they've just been eaten.

I'm on my second banana!

Not yet!!!! I even also have a banana sitting tempting me (can't have two - company policy is 1 fruit per person per day. Not sure how this applies to the grapes.)

Did 30k at lunch time today without any breakfast laugh

Was pretty windy though. averaged 29.3km which wasn't too bad.

But did you have 1 or 2 breakfasts?
Breakfast? For a commute?

I'm barely conscious enough to gargle a Redbull before I set off. It's only 10 miles biggrin

Do we have to quote "The Rules" on this one for rides of less than 2 hours duration? *grin*

Not loving the warm mornings. ugh sweaty.
Only a cyclist could say that! smile

I rode to work this morning (10.5 miles) without having breakfast and ate a banana once here. I'm not sure if this is too much or not enough wink
My new route involves getting off the train 2 stops earlier adding 3.5 miles of cycling, but I still pass my normal station on the way to work. This means I end up racing the train and getting hot and sweaty in the process!

Nice ride in this morning, was planning to take it easy but halfway in someone started catching up with me, which meant i had to go hell for leather for the rest of the way - thats the rules, right? Anyway, meant i got a few PR's.

Not looking forward to the ride home, mind.

I more and more often do a 10 miler to work .... In 30 degrees. I look like I've had a shower when I get to work.

I don't breakfast before .... I do shower before and then again when I've got to work, but then I struggle to wake up without a shower!

Ride in today. One coffee. (Instant, one sugar. Grey mug.)

Took it really easy, just enjoying riding in the beautiful sunshine.

Then I got overtaken by a bloke on a Carrera MTB. Clearly that slight could not be tolerated so I dropped him. Then I caught a bloke on a Synapse (best bike Friday came early?) and blazed past. Continued in like style all the way in. Oops.

Had to stand outside the office for a good 10 mins yesterday to cool off.

Went to the pub after work only to get a call reminding me of my son's school play. On the other side of London.

Hammered it back, rushed into the school hall and had a 20 minute flop sweat.

That must have been nice for the people sitting next to me...

I rode about 20 miles over the downs last night. About ten miles in, I started to get a headache & by the end, my head was pounding. I took a water bottle with me & was drinking all the way round, but last night, I sunk four pints of water & didn't need the loo until midnight. It was murderously hot & I didn't enjoy that ride at all.

But had you been drinking all day? If im going out for a MTB ride on a hot afternoon/evening i make sure that my last widdle before i leave is as clear as a fresh alpine stream.

Evidently not enough, but I had been on water all afternoon at work. I thought I was ok, but I wasn't.

Another beautiful morning. Four times this week, first time I've managed that.

Today's baffling event: a huge woman in the passenger seat of a Pug 206 (thought she might overflow at one point) bellowing at me "learn to ride a bike!" as she overtook. While I was riding my bike. Incidentally I hadn't passed her at any point, so who knows what that was about...

Anyone know how long it takes for Street View images to turn up online? I saw one of the cars this morning... smile

Met a lad coming the other way up Eling hill this morning, he was almost at a stand still, hopped twice to the right and then had "that" moment.

It's funny when it happens to somebody else.

Cool! I grew up there. I can't imagine struggling with that 'lump' now, but as a kid, it was like a hill-climb course.
