Hold on what's happened to the weather in London? Yesterday very pleasent on commute, no gloves and even thinking of returning to my bib shorts, this morning blinking cold again. Gloves back on along with extra layers. No doubt will have to carry it all in my rucksack tonight if it warms up
I know, and it seems to happen at this time most years. Something must be done!

This morning on CS7, I had the misfortune to briefly be riding behind a bloke in a girl's G-String, which was whale-tailing above his shorts!! yikes

To each their own and all that, but this was not a pleasant sight!!!

What does etiquette dictate in these situations? Should I have told him that padded shorts are designed to be work without any underwear? hehe
Bibs. Always wear bibs.
Well, if you're a bloke, yes. I really don't mind girls doing it!

Global warming. I blame the Conservatives.

I believe the etiquette is to 'twang' the garment as you pass (only on blokes however)

What the heckedy feck caused that???? And did you need new underpants to go with those new wheels?

Surely that should not be happening to a disc-hubbed wheel? Especially on a road based commute! Worn rim-brake surfaces I can understand folding over or coming away from the rest of the rim, but a disc wheel? Warranty test time, surely?
Wheel started cracking round the weld...
Poor work imo, alittle annoyed tbh, 2 years old and only ridden on road...
I'm not a fatty lol, I'm 6ft and weigh 13st...
I'll see what the shop says...
New wheels got me to work today anyway...

Seemed quieter than usual on the Bristol end of the Bristol-Bath cyclepath at 7am today. Easter break effect still no doubt. Chilly and misty but bodes well for another nice day.

I noticed the same here in Southampton. It was really quiet.

First ride in the new Endura MTB shorts. Also first ride in shorts this year. Today's commute means I have now saved a total of £69 compared to using the tube. Only £161 to go and the bike will be paid for smile That will tie in nicely with work probation finishing and I will be able to buy a Brompton through the CTW scheme Happy days.

Other people seem to be stating what they had for breakfast. For the record, I Had two slices of toast with butter and honey. Very tasty it was too smile

As was Worcester.

Birmingham less so, however.

No breakfast yet. Porridge with water in a moment.

Three weeks after I broke my second spoke in the rear wheel I've only gone and broken numbers three and four! I really don't get it. It's a CX bike so the rims are reasonably hefty and only 2k of my 10k commute is off Tarmac. Plenty of other guys at work live in my area and take similar bikes at a similar pace over the same route and have no problems. So back to Hargroves cycles it's going tomorrow (I'm going to ask for a full wheel rebuild this time) and I'll be dicing with traffic on my road bike next week instead frown

First commute in a year done!

And only went and got my first ever road bike puncture on the way in, typical!

Did save the bike being chained up outside all day though, chain reaction happily sorted it for me....god am I tired after an awfully st time though! Don't think the extra 20kg of ballast is helping though!

Indeed hindsight is brilliant, I meant the same too! I was rather lucky though, happened at about 6:15am and only 1/4 mile from my office in moorgate, if it had gone anywhere else on the route (I come in from Orpington) it would have been far more problematic with no proper transport operating when I left a little after 5:30am

Did the New Forest Sportive yesterday. Only did the standard, but it was still 70 miles, so cruised in this morning. However, I did manage to fall over whilst on the loading ramp at work. Couldn't unclip fast enough and lost balance!

Thankfully, no one saw me apart from a cleaner, two security guards, skip driver and the weather girl from Channel 5. Bad Times.

After 70 mile on the road bike yesterday, the Tern Folder felt pretty clunky frown

I had the same issue with an Alex Rim 32h CX wheel & was wondering if you had the same wheels.

Noddergeddon again

WTF is it with people who think donning themselves in hi-vis head to toe makes them invincible? No shoulder checks, shouting at people /cars /vans etc...
All of the way down the Old Kent Road!
