that kryptonite wire, is a little pointless. no one would steel the front wheel and if they break the D lock, the wire is free....just sayin'. smile
I mean this genuinely, and not being a keyboard warrior / troll, but what would you suggest is better?

My thinking is that the wire is about as much use as a liquorice shoelace if the thief has decent bolt croppers, and a small bottle jack will make short work of a D-lock too. However, it serves as a visual deterant, and will probably stop anyone but the most committed of cycle thiefs. (It also means I am compliant with my home insurance.)

Back O/T, lovely ride in this morning, Cheerios before, and granola in a few muinutes!

A 27.5 will be fine - in fact I've put a deposit on a full Susser 27.5 for collection in August, am really looking forward to it!
Good to hear, I can't quite choose between a Santa Cruz, Banshee, Intense or Saracen, decisions decisions...

Lovely ride in this morning, a little tail wind, lots of sun and a few female joggers to letch at cool

Cycling a Brompton in tweed and a bow tie, then obliterating him on any kind of incline is "supportive", right?

That seat post is like a telegraph pole! biggrin

As soon as my probation is done and I can get onto the CTW scheme, I'll be ordering a Brompton. I currently have a Tern folder and its crap.

I'm 6'8'', and I look like an absolute hoop riding it. It's a lot of fun though.

I'd like to get a titanium telescopic post, but they were £250 on eBay last time I looked. frown

Knees are bloody killing me at the mo, plus had a proper torture session at Karate on Wednesday night, so did not enjoy the ride this morning till about 3 miles in then got a second wind and loved it despite the rain. Think I'll raise the seat an inch tomorrow and see if my knees get better.
Sights set on a long ride on the roadie this weekend, it's been a while.

Lovely dawn outing this morning - purple sky fading to pink, dawn chorus all around me and chilly but dry conditions. Almost made up for the 5am alarm... almost...

Breakfast 1: Granola, milk and coffee.
Breakfast 2: Canteen fry-up is calling me...

That usually works for me when I get a pain around the front of my knees.

I've been taking ibuprofen for my knees and avoiding any floor based exercises at the gym and touch wood my knees have relaxed a little.

I also got myself a new office chair, it's surprising what a difference it's made to my general posture and stress on my knees whilst sat at my desk.

Great ride in this morning. Nice to not have a head wind for once, and my legs had that Friday feeling so gave it some beans.

The support of my colleague continued this morning, on the Brompton, obviously:

I'll report back when I get home. Portsdown Hill usually gives you a good idea of the effect of the wind, and also there are handy flags on the forts to show you the direction!

It was still on the way in, but there was a bit of a headwind on the way home. Not a problem, it just added resistance to my intervals.

The wind hasn't been the usual Westerly of late, hence the colder weather, I assume.

Even with a tail wind that's an impressive pace!
