It's been a long week, and just wished for a tailwind on the way in - not a chance
Fingers crossed there's one on the way home...
A good ride home last night, no headwind and felt like I could go on for miles and miles. It was a bit hairy though in the dark, despite having front and rear lights, a reflective rucksack cover and reflective jacket the cars that whizzed past seemed closer and faster than before the clocks changed...
'twas a bit chilly round the ankles this morning on the ride in, but had a lovely sunrise to keep me company and not a lot of traffic due to half term

Yesterday morning I watched the BBC weather forecast. "Any rain in the afternoon will be confined to the South coast", they said.
I wish I'd paid more attention in geography lessons..... That way I would've been able to take the bike with mudguards and avoided the cold water enema I received on my way home from that well known South coast town, London!
Still, on the other hand, I did get the entertainment factor of seeing a chap pedalling flat out through Elephant and Castle on a Boris Bike wearing full Lycra and black brogues!
I could only assume his own bike had died and he'd lacked either the time, tools or skills required to get it going again straight away, leaving him on the Boris with his SPD shoes presumably in his rucksack.

The media are all Manchester-centric these days. Makes me sick. Filling our TV with their rain and their pies. The South starts at Mansfield and Preston, apparently.I wish I'd paid more attention in geography lessons..... Indeed. I suppose I should just be pleased that my house doesn't look like a Hurricane Sandy victim, what with it presumably being in the middle of the channel somewhere at the end of my 15 mile ride in a south-south-westerly direction from the well known South coast town of London! Steve vRS said:
Lovely ride in this morning - 10 miles at 16.5mph. Nice clear and bright but not too cold.
Looking out of the window now and it is turning very black and a bit of wind is getting up....

Same here - beautiful bright crisp ride in this morning - felt on top of the world!Looking out of the window now and it is turning very black and a bit of wind is getting up....

Grinding through the rush hour traffic in the dark on the way home was a different story. What GMT gives with one hand it takes away with the other
Funnily enough I saw more riders on the way home today than I have all year.
