Noticed lots of fair weather riders this week. Got beaten going up Crystal palace hill today, had nothing left by the top.

It was a bit windy this afternoon.

I finally got fed up with the rolling resistance on the road of my off road tyres on my cyclocross bike (night and day compared with my road bike) on the way home and fitted the pair of unused Conti Ultra Sport that I liberated from the local tip. I''m going to get some fairly fat, tough slicks for the winter.
Lol, churchfields tip in Bromley by any chance? I threw out some earlier this year as they had been in the shed for years and had to make way for some colour coded Vittoria's.

Very wet, had a couple of hairy moments with drivers pulling out and me skidding down the road, but made it unscathed. smile

Bit slippy this morning.

Sometime I wonder what goes through some drivers heads. In my 10 mile ride I was passed on a blind bend by some fool and another overtook me just as we approached a long queue of traffic at some lights. Bananas.

Entertaining bit of graffiti on the Bristol-Bath path this morning - someone has painted INDURAIN on the tarmac. Retro Tour supporter I guess. hehe

This really bugs me. It's like when cars overtake you just before they're about to turn right, but decide to move to the far left of the road so you can't pass.... Or when they overtake you just before a roundabout or something.

If you are going to commute in Team Sky jersey and shorts, dont get the hump and get mouthy when I say "Morning Chris"...

Well it wasn't sunny today but I had two great rides to and from work in nice still air. I find once I'm on the move that I don't mind if the weather is less than perfect, just as long as it's not blowing a gale!

No, it was a northern tip. Some kind souls are obviously just putting these tyres into skips for the benefit of the poor.

Trying to do once a week, don't know how people manage daily - I feel tired all day, I imagine 5 days on the trot i'd be a sleep on my desk before the end of the week.

You do get used to it, of course. I generally do 2-3 times per week, dependent upon other commitments or horrendous weather.
