Cycled into work for the first time yesterday. 11 miles in, 10 back (slightly different route). Beats the bus by a good 15-20 mins smile

Awesome! So you'll be up and rolling around again soon?
Should be able to get everything sorted on Thursday for Friday's commute. I'm away for the next few days anyway, so no rush smile
Up and running with nice new wheels - went in on them on Friday. They do seem to feel a little better than the old ones. The freehub is rather noisy (almost like a Hope), which I quite like and should be useful for waking up pedestrians on my morning descent down the shared path smile

It's quite a good little all-weather commuter. It loses a little of its original "stealthiness" with the branding on the new wheels though wink

2013 Giant Seek 2 if you're wondering.

Beautiful morning - crisper than a bag of crisps.

The base layer has been broken out though.

Well done. Won't be long and you'll be kicking yourself if you can't ride for some reason.

Base layer for me too (and arm warmers) frown Hoping they're not back for good!

Did smile to myself as a RLJ tried to follow a lorry he thought was about to jump a red. Needless to say the lorry didn't jump the red and the cyclist ended up skidding himself to a stop very close to the back of it hehe

I returned to commuting after my holidays today. I had fitted new rear wheel bearings and re-fitted the drop bars to my cyclocross bike, but still had the off-road tyres on, which felt like pedalling through treacle above 18mph. I might do an off road variation on the way home to make use of the tyres.

Nice morning this morning. A little chilly but a nice clear day... Tonight may not be so nice. Hopefully it will have cleared by 5.

Did a century Saturday and was finding dehydration an issue due to the heat and lack of bottle refill places

This morning was about 10 degrees, 20 degrees different from Saturday!!

Nice ride in back on the claptrap heavy rigid mtb, was like late October lots of mud and damp everywhere, nice enough ride though enjoyed not having to give a st about the potholes and ability to use quiet tracks

It's one thing to be seen on a bike, but if the drivers actually even look is another thing.

Bloke pulled out on me at a junction, without so much as a glance to his right. Ironically, he was driving a Focus.

Three days commuting into the week and I've got very wet six times. Bikes has decided to make some sort of crappy noise on the way home today too. Tomorrow is driving day thankfully.

Arm warmers this morning. That beckons the start of Autumn. Before long it will be tights and winter jerseys as well frown

It's a Giant as well?! I think I'm in love!

My old hardtail MTB that I've converted to a hybrid/city bike is almost the same in terms of spec, but that's a lovely frame/fork.

On a different subject, yesterday I broke the 1000 mile mark for commutes to work. Since April 22nd (18 weeks ago) I have ridden to/from work 50 times smile It's been a good summer of riding. I wonder much I can keep it going throughout the winter months though.
