The daily "I cycled to work" thread

I discovered a flat tyre on my commuter this morning, so took the road bike -which felt nice and nimble, having not ridden it for a few weeks.
There was a damp headwind for much of the route.
No thanks at all to the Passat driver who decided to overtake a tractor as he approached a bend that I was coming around in the opposite direction. He passed me closely on my side of the road. I'm just glad that the road wasn't slightly narrower and that I wasn't on my motorbike going at twice the speed.

A nice sunny morning ride in for me.
Annoying though. Doing about 22 mph on the flat when a JCB passed me going only a few more mph more. About 30 seconds later reached the top of a long descent and his speed didn't change where as mine would have gone over 40 had he not been in the way. Made worse by the large queue of cars he was also holding up that then wanted to be passed me at the bottom of the hill when my speed dropped back to around 20 mph again.

Should have overtaken and dropped him. Annoying though. Doing about 22 mph on the flat when a JCB passed me going only a few more mph more. A while back I was passed by a tractor on a climb. Once on the flat again I caught up with him and then passed him on a descent. He caught me up on the next hill and passed me again but I then passed him a final time on another descent. This time I made good my escape

It wasn't warm enough for full summer gear...
No doubt it's a little cooler where you are but for me, it was full summer attire. I do however, tend to run quite warm generally. M3John said:

Even in London its pretty cold first thing. I can deal with shorts and no gloves at the minute in the mornings, but no sleeves would be a bit much.
