On the bike at 4:30am today. The weather is definitely changing as i had to put the arm warmers on. 20 miles later arriving at work i was beginning to feel the cold through the overshoes.

Great ride in today. Crisp and clear. Long sleeved shirt + shell for the first time. Love this time of year.

Two coffees with soya followed by a Starbucks porridge when I got in

must get to decathlon this weekend and get my winter gear.

I've only got summer stuff and 3c this morning made me chicken out.

Similar temps here and I had shorts, t shirt and a jacket. I do have a little bit of bf those helping me!

It's only cold for the first couple of miles. Especially in the dips over streams where the mist collects. Once the hills are halfway done it's back to betty swallocks again!

Chilly in Cheshire so I succumbed to full finger gloves but I'm still in shorts and short sleeve jersey (long sleeve base layer though).

PR over Warburton Bridge though biggrin

I have very bad knees if they get cold, got to keep them warm.

Another easy, steady ride in this morning as recovery from fairly intense running and single speed mtbing yesterday.

Very comfortable in my jacket and longs.

I lost it today.

Almost got hit by a car - I was going past on a cycle lane, lady drove to her left, giving me nowhere to go between the fence and her car. Jammed on my brakes, banged her wing mirror.

I didn't get hit, didn't get hurt but my mind took over and I lost my breath and couldn't speak. I feel a bit guilty now, but my brain kept telling me I could have died.

Off the bike for a few days (after getting home!) but I can't tell my wife about it so you are getting it instead!

Can be scary cant it! Yesterday I was on the quietest lane known to man, with a side entrance to a manor house , Ironically I was testing my brakes at the time as just fitted new pads, when a car pulled out of the mannor house without looking, saw me and was more interested in saying sorry than getting out my way, missed the car by inches, was trying to gamble whether to go round the front or back

Hard to be safe with some of the folk out there.

I was riding along in Kingston the other day, I was front of the lights, set off at a decent pace, a bus overtook me (I was in the bus lane) and before he had even got half of his vehicle past me he put indicator on and began pulling in. I knew there was a stop there, hence going first and going at a decent rate so he would stay behind knowing he had to stop in 200 yards anyway. I put the brakes on knowing if I didn't I'd be heading towards the kerb via the bus.

I was pretty pissed off, rode by the driver side and walloped the wing mirror on my way, fking dick, I don't get it, WHY do people overtake only to then straight away turn off or even worse, stop at a bus stop which he knew was there!
