Cleaned my bike properly last weekend and after 4 days commuting this week, it now looks brown rather than the bright yellow it actually is!
Not enjoying commuting in this weather to be honest, sick of getting wet and muddy.

My bright orange and black trek has a brown line up the insides like skid marks redface(. Ridden in every day this week; don't like wearing a jacket as its too bloody warm still! Really pleased with the disc brake performance of the old trek, plus bontrager hard case semi slicks help a lot too. I don't think I'd dare go on the road bike in this leaf mulch wet autumn!

I'm so pleased that I cleaned and lubricated my bike yesterday. It made the gritty spray so much more enjoyable this morning frown

Very windy this morning, but unlike last week, it was mostly a cross/tail wind so I was a bit quicker smile

I spent an hour cleaning the mud off my CX bike as well. It had raced through a swamp in Cartmel on Saturday and I'd let the caked on mud dry. There was even crud inside the shifters. I did fall off a few times though....

Shame, I liked my SS for our commute.

Novelty has worn of sufficiently now. Although my commute isn't massively hilly, the few I do climb now makes me want to stay in bed because I cant change gears.

Wet and not too windy this morning. I'm glad I rode in.

Don't mind the cold wet weather so much, it's the warm air on the ride home that's hard work. Sweating like a boil in the bag chicken when I get back - not pleasant!

Maybe I'm missing something but.... Take a layer off? If you find this weather unpleasant because it's warm you must hate the summer!?

Going to cycle to work in Belfast in the morning for the first time ever since I started working 14 years ago! Quite excited. Hope it's not lashing and hope I make it - 16 miles each way, trail and path.

This thread is for people who have cycled to work wink

Joking - get better soon!

Lovely 3.5mile uphill cycle this morning, a bit easier as I had more sleep and there was less weight in my bag today. Been cycling regularly for 4-6weeks now.....saving petrol on really short journeys too smile

16degC here in NW England this morning...

There was a fairly strong headwind which made it feel cooler, but I did need to remove my jacket after about 15 minutes to avoid sweatiness. The humidity seems quite high at the moment.
