Bugger me its mild.

Already done 12hrs this November, will be 14 by the time I'm home. Only managed 16hrs last November due to illness and the cold.

Maybe I can reach 6500 by the end of the year if this continues. Need to do 113 miles each week between now and the end of the year. Going to be tight.

Made it alive. First ever commute - 17 miles. Really mild but that wind was horrible and riding a big mtb through the city wasn't ideal. Nice to have a blast on the trails before work though. 1047 calories burnt and at my desk by 9am on the button. Sadly noticed front tyre is flat now though. Guess I have a wee lunchtime job to do.

I've now taken my shimano RS80 wheels off the bike which have Michelin pro4 service course V2 tyres and have switched back to my old cruddy fulcrum racing 7 wheels which are running the beefy durano tyres (the most puncture resistant of all the durano tyres).

Can't say they roll as nicely or steer as quickly but those duranos just feel indestructible!

Warm in Liverpool too but with a fairly hefty headwind on the way in today. Hope it keeps up, it will make for some interesting Strava segment times laugh

Same down in Devon this morning. I happen to be on the TT bike today, as the commuter is still in bits.

I'll be looking for long "do-able" Strava segments at lunchtime...

hehe

Did a double take of the iphone before I got out of bed this morn, 16 deg at 7.30am...

Shorts with bare (hairy - yuk) legs! I don't generally shave legs in winter as they're always covered but I couldn't rationalise leg warmers this morning. Epic tailwind.

WTF its raining again, its rained or nearly rained everyday for the past 3 weeks!!

I dont mind the rain, but every bloody day!

I keep my bike in my house, so its a pita with a filthy bike, as I do a mile of gravel track/bridleway & 8 miles back lanes

Cant we have a few days/weeks of cold and dry?

Hello all, I started cycling to work beginning of October 5 miles across London each way. My new Dahon Vitesse D8 isn't fairing to well though! Broken spoke this week, need new brake pads, new pedals on order and lost the magnetic clip today. I am tracking my rides via strava and getting faster each week, forgot how much I miss cycling!

20 minutes quicker coming home tonight than heading in this morning. Shows the difference the wind and morning stiffness makes. If I can get it down another 15mins I will equal my car commute time!

Sadly have to wait a full week before I can cycle again. Oh well gives me time to pump the tyres up a bit and put some reflective strips on.

Still really impressed with my Voodoo Bizango 29er that PHers recommended.

Nothing unusual about my ride today, except one cyclist beating the crap out another for some reason.

Legs were struggling a bit after nearly 4hrs yesterday evening.
