Shame, I liked my SS for our commute.

Novelty has worn of sufficiently now. Although my commute isn't massively hilly, the few I do climb now makes me want to stay in bed because I cant change gears.

Wet and not too windy this morning. I'm glad I rode in.

Don't mind the cold wet weather so much, it's the warm air on the ride home that's hard work. Sweating like a boil in the bag chicken when I get back - not pleasant!

Maybe I'm missing something but.... Take a layer off? If you find this weather unpleasant because it's warm you must hate the summer!?

Going to cycle to work in Belfast in the morning for the first time ever since I started working 14 years ago! Quite excited. Hope it's not lashing and hope I make it - 16 miles each way, trail and path.

This thread is for people who have cycled to work wink

Joking - get better soon!

Lovely 3.5mile uphill cycle this morning, a bit easier as I had more sleep and there was less weight in my bag today. Been cycling regularly for 4-6weeks now.....saving petrol on really short journeys too smile

16degC here in NW England this morning...

There was a fairly strong headwind which made it feel cooler, but I did need to remove my jacket after about 15 minutes to avoid sweatiness. The humidity seems quite high at the moment.

Bugger me its mild.

Already done 12hrs this November, will be 14 by the time I'm home. Only managed 16hrs last November due to illness and the cold.

Maybe I can reach 6500 by the end of the year if this continues. Need to do 113 miles each week between now and the end of the year. Going to be tight.

Made it alive. First ever commute - 17 miles. Really mild but that wind was horrible and riding a big mtb through the city wasn't ideal. Nice to have a blast on the trails before work though. 1047 calories burnt and at my desk by 9am on the button. Sadly noticed front tyre is flat now though. Guess I have a wee lunchtime job to do.

I've now taken my shimano RS80 wheels off the bike which have Michelin pro4 service course V2 tyres and have switched back to my old cruddy fulcrum racing 7 wheels which are running the beefy durano tyres (the most puncture resistant of all the durano tyres).

Can't say they roll as nicely or steer as quickly but those duranos just feel indestructible!

Warm in Liverpool too but with a fairly hefty headwind on the way in today. Hope it keeps up, it will make for some interesting Strava segment times laugh

Same down in Devon this morning. I happen to be on the TT bike today, as the commuter is still in bits.

I'll be looking for long "do-able" Strava segments at lunchtime...

hehe
