I hate that feeling when you can see events unfolding infront of you and can only do your best to avoid incident.

I had two nutters this morning attempting a murder of convenience.I hate that feeling when you can see events unfolding infront of you and can only do your best to avoid incident.
One van made an overtake on me on this narrow road where there isn't comfortably room for two cars and where there isn't perfect visibility as it's a bit twisty and he chose a bend. Along comes another car the other way so he's nudging me into the verge/big puddle containing unknown hazards. No contact, luckily... I kept up with him for a while after because he had to stop several times up the road to wait for other vehicles to pass where the road was even narrower. He wouldn't meet my eye in his wing mirror.
Another one was a
It really beggars belief, how would they feel seeing photos of my little sons in the papers and meeting the gaze of my wife in a court room, all for the sake of little to no advantage in progress.
I've actually been lucky I think, it's quite rare someone gets that close. Just two by chance in one journey. The puncture later in the journey gave me time to reflect and calm down. I put in a PR after the second event, I think down to pure adrenalin.

That's a thing about being on a bike. You have time to see everything. Yesterday two battle ship grey cars with no lights nearly had a had on collision in front of me and today another battle ship grey Corsa with no lights pulled out of a junction with out hesitation and nearly hit a car overtaking me. I'll check the playback quality and YouTube it if you like.
Got a bit wet last night, my fault I stopped for chips.
Fog this morning and it felt like "Dawn of the Dumb" and I wish I had my shotgun. Made in one piece so I have survived another week.

Went to see a buddy in the city this afternoon after work.
the cycle path from Westminster bridge to the Tower of London is absolutely superb .
You can understand the Motorists being well bloody pissed of with it though. Sailed through at a decent speed.... Bloody Marvelous i tell ye.

They should consider cycling then. The more cyclists, the less pollution.....the cycle path from Westminster bridge to the Tower of London is absolutely superb .

Foggy this morning, so all lights lit, and as usual the tin canners (car drivers) were blissfully going about with no lights. Ride home started in sunshine and ended in drizzle, it's two weather systems the fens and the wolds.
In wildlife news, the swan was stood this morning rotating her eggs, apparently birds do this to stop the chick becoming malformed.

Did have a bus cut in front of me at the top of Portsdown hill this morning....did mean I got some slipstream going down so hit over 40mph which was fun.....though running 50/34 and 12-30T I ran out of gearing
Really want an 11 speed 36/52 with 11-32T....would be utterly perfect for me....very similar 1st gear ratio, but gearing which would take me another 5-10mph or so if required.

I've managed to cycle in every day this week, first time in 2016!
My legs definitely feel stronger and the ride in is definitely getting quicker.
By the time I get home tonight, I'll be at around 83 miles / 6 hours / 2500ft elevation for the week - happy with that.
Does any else always feel hungry at work with all the cycling though?
I've had a some porridge, 2 coffees and a 5-pack of donuts already this morning and I'm still hungry.

Good going! Cycled in twice this week (so 46 miles total) but am planning at some point to go for a whole week riding in when we have a stretch of good weather (that will be 115 miles). My legs definitely feel stronger and the ride in is definitely getting quicker.

Yeah, on riding days i do bring a more substantial packed lunch, and include a cheeky mars bar for the afternoon before i ride home.
