Bit grey and dull this morning, but it was fine, I got to work dry.

More I do it the easier it gets.

First time on the bike for almost 3 weeks after allowing my calf to get better. Took it very relatively easy and the good news was my calf felt fine. The not-so-good news was I could tell I hadn't been on the bike for a while!!

Updating this thread is like a little reward. All five days this week. Should be able to ride all five days for the next few weeks too. Its defo easier the more you do it.

Actually, right now I don't have a working car, it helps as the choice isn't there.

Only 4 days for me but that's because I have a slightly working car... Well, it works fine but just needs a little help starting... biggrin

My ride home should take me over 600km for the month too

Rode my first time into work today. Suffered and still suffering with cramping in my calves had to keep stopping. My calves are still very sore.

Took me an hour, 13.9 miles.

Starting to cool off in the mornings now, so was glad of the base layer, but still bare arms and legs.

I should be getting some 3/4 bibs very soon, which will at least keep the knees a bit warmer as it cools off. It never really gets so cold in Devon that you need deep winter leggings.

Well done! That's a chunky commute and it should get easier surprisingly quickly if you do it a few times. Make sure you give yourself time to recover.

Great ride in, caught up with two other people of a similar pace and rode in together. Was a little damp so I had a cold arse for hours after. I've been holding off on fitting the mudguards but may this weekend.

As for the ride home, punctured within yards of the office and lost a keep-on kover. Not the end of the world but annoying.

I cycled in for the first time in ages. When I got to the A4 it was closed due to an accident, so a good day to not be in the car. Did get a bit cold as I was a little under-dressed. Took ages to warm up. Ride home was much better.

Took the long way home, by the time I'd got out of the shower it was chucking down outside, so timed the ride well!

I felt very tired this morning (couldn't get up out of the saddle at Spitalfields) and my Strava times showed it.

Still, at least I can feel the benefits of the gym work and I know that I'll, on average, be getting a lot faster.

It's that irritating time of the year when it doesn't matter what outerwear you use (coat, waterproof, fleece, t-shirt, nothing), it will be wrong.

Struggling with being seen at moment

Almost got knocked off twice last night and this morning,

Low light and dusk conditions not helping, I have very bright leds on all day and bright clothes

Often people see me and think fck it anyway and pull out, Im starting to get a real hatred towards these people, along with people that race upto junctions, don't look properly and then see me as they are pulling out and look "suprised" that I am annoyed.

Im not even an "angry" cyclist and try to stay chilled

I've tried Strava on a few android devices. Including an S6edge and an LG G4. It crashes a lot. It seems to be very memory hungry.

Would it be more reliable on an iPhone? My main phone is a Windows Phone and I'm coming round to the though that I'm going to have to give up on the platform, much as I love it. So I now need to decide between Google and Apple.

PURELY on the basis of Strava which is more solid? I don't want to start a phone war here and as I've built phones and spent most of my life reviewing them I think that I can make my own mind up on the other stuff.

Neither, get a dedicated cycle GPS.

Yeah, was fresh, I was a bit later this morning, but the ride along Weston Shore was lovely.

Not so cold that I used the brakes coming down the Itchen bridge.

I have not driven the car to work for over a month, its very liberating.

I'm using it on an iPhone and it's been fine the handful of times I've used it.

It's a work phone and is a couple of years old - I think it's maybe a 5C.
