Puncture last night on the way home. Couldn't believe it
I don't want to laugh along with you, because Karma is a bh. But I feel your pain. I used to swear to the joys of Armadillos, now I just swear at them.

Having told a mate I rarely get punctures I've had three in the last week, including two last night - one in each wheel.

They will lose their ability to resist over time. If you shoot an armadillo enough times with a shot-gun, you'll kill it eventually.I used to swear to the joys of Armadillos, now I just swear at them.
Armadillos - smooth on the inside, crunchy on the outside!!!!!

For you guys who commute in and leave your bike in the office, where do you leave it?
I leave mine behind my desk against an unused filing cabinet, 'hidden' by a chair with my cycling gear on it; I get in before everyone else and leave just before everyone else so as not to be a hazard to them and use the lift to get up and down the 2 floors....
But the work Health & Safety Nazis want me not to do this........ despite me stating I was going to do it when I got the bike and they didnt object then

I'm still very much commuting
In fact, I drove today (I have to drive somewhere at lunch, and go straight out after work, and I have to do the same tomorrow tomorrow), and it annoys me when I can't cycle now - I feel like I'm wasting it
Started wearing the new merino base layer I have (on a night ride last night, too) - very impressed with it, seems to keep my temperature just right.

Still riding here. Kit is gradually shifting to winter attire. Overshoes for the first time ever today, numb toes are a thing of the past!
No records being set today though, hanging from circuit training yesterday and depressed having seen the plan for a TA weekend ahead. To give you a clue, sleep isnt on it.

I beg to differ, I find this temp a PITA. You need something to keep the wind off now that there's a chill int the air, but I get too hot wearing even the thinnest windproof, breathable outer layer. I prefer it when it's either hot, or proper cold.
This.I find that my fleece is working well though. I sweat enough that I have my suit and shoes at work and only bring shirt / pants etc and shower at work. So with my hump back covering my stuff I just think I will accept getting wet and so not really considering a waterproof at the moment but when it gets heavier rainfall more often I will perhaps have to look about.

I've been cycling pretty much every day for the last 3 or 4 months and I also lament the darkness!

I don't mind the wet, I can get clean and dry at either end, it's the lack of brakes in the wet that bothers me as long as I've remembered to protect everything in my bag from the water. Nothing worse than getting to work and opening your bag to find a wet shirt I find that my fleece is working well though. First day today for me on my new commute after moving house. Only 5 miles across Edinburgh but enough to get the legs spinning and far quicker than any other method.
Using an old Giant ALM1 hardtail on rigid forks with a 1x9 setup with a 42 tooth ring and 9spd road cassette (11-23). It has to be locked up in Edinburgh city centre so no point in using something too nice, also I'm happier using the MTB SPD's in traffic than the SPD-R's on my road bike. Just off to get a set of mudguards for it and a big D lock to leave at my regular parking space. Plan is to leave the lock there overnight.
