I needed to visit the physio today, so no commuter riding. I was feeling a bit stiff this morning from tring my aero position yesterday too.

I have been given the all-clear to run again this evening, though. thumbup

Have you just ridden here from the 1980s?

Does it still exist? Didn't Steve Cram promote this stuff?

Fair enough. I'm quite partial to the very nutty muesli from Holland & Barrett, or porridge.

Massive headwind today, so very much looking forward to the ride home tonight.
I get a headwind in the morning, and a headwind on the way home everyday. The wind direction flips during the day. Much swearing from me on the way home tonight.
Same here living near the coast. The sea breeze is a head wind in head wind out if I do day shift or a tail wind in tail wind out when I do nights. Think of day shifts as warm up sessions for night shift sprints. hehe

Bit windy out there but, looking at the forecast, it should be a tailwind home.... From Cosham to Eastleigh.

I just had to pedal down the Itchen Bridge. Humph.

Still looking windy outside.... I'll find out soon enough whether it's going to be in my favour or not!

Ran home yesterday, reminding me why I cycle. Why does anyone run for fun? It's bloody awful.

Tonight looks like a cracking evening, can't wait to get out there.

Went to ride the 24 miles each way to work this morning as it was set to be the nicest day of the year so far... Putting shoes on at 0620 and snapped a buckle, typical. Only bought the shoes* on Saturday and just a 22 mile ride on them so far. So ended up going in with my car share. Got out of work just in time to get to the shop I got the shoes from after work and got a replacement pair, hopefully they'll prove sturdier tomorrow morning.

  • FLR F-65s, if anyone's wondering. Very comfy so far.

Something like 1h23 in and 1h33 back, starting to improve now. 1700ft climbing going in, 2000 coming back IIRC. Haven't done it more than twice in a week yet, it's a nice alternative to car share occasionally though and saves getting out for a ride once I'm home. What are your times like?

Agreed. Felt like my batteries were flat today, couldn't keep any sort of decent speed.

Also, why is it so cold? Base layer, Jacket and wind proof shell, plus knee warmers in the mornings. In June.

It was really warm where I am yesterday and today's hopefully going to be the same!

I must apologise for the wind this year. I own a boat, but it is currently in storage due to having had twins not too long ago. Ever since it went into the barn it has been howling! It will come out again next year, so expect a flat calm summer in 2016.

My trip East last night was depressingly slow into the wind... made the most of it this morning though and shaved another 2 mins off my PB to work.
