This *might* make a good sticky, might not.

I want to know if anyone has an E90 3 series coupe and can fit their road bike in the boot (Im assuming wheels off)? It looks long enough but possibly not wide enough.

Maybe we could have a table of who fits what in where (ooh err).

I can get my GT Avalanche in my Tuscan boot but wouldn't be able to stow the lid.

That'll be one hell of a long list.

My 22 inch frame mtb fits in my tiny fiesta st - so there can't be many cars out there you can't get a bike in.

Got a Cove Shocker, wheels off, armor, full face and box of bits in a Mk1 Yaris of my Mums once, wasn't even a struggle really, although there was only room for me in it.

Most don't. Not a popular option IME. Buttons on the top of the backrest?

They are split 60/40 and I can see catches. Just done some googling and discovered the release catch is in the boot, under the top of rear edge.

I'll check for this.

Wouldn't be PH if someone didn't ask why you wouldn't consider an external bike rack...

... just sayin'.

One of my requirements when I changed my car recently was that I could still get my bike in the boot for our Sunday morning ride, so I ended up changing my venerable 944 Turbo for a 968:

I used to have a coupe and can confirm my large frame ribble fitted in a treat. All the coupes have fold down seats with catches from the boot. It makes the car more practical than the saloon where, bizarrely, fold ..down seats are an option

My Lancer could fit a bike in the boot, if it looked like this.
