Could get my bike (56cm road bike) in the back of the Cayman. Bit of a knack to it but easy enough once I'd sussed it out. MTB meant whipping the bars & stem off to allow them to lay flat but equally no headaches.

Not really the boot...

Without the box, the frame and wheels would go in pretty easily with the roof down, and leave enough space to get the roof back up. Quite hard to nick the frame when the roof's up.

You could fit a bike, three passengers and all the tools and spares from a bike shop in the Multipla.

You can it a road bike upright with one wheel off in a Picasso and seat five.

And I know you don't care smile

I want to know if anyone has an E90 3 series coupe and can fit their road bike in the boot (Im assuming wheels off)? It looks long enough but possibly not wide enough.
I could fit my 58 cm road bike in with the wheels still attached and the seats down. Still enough room for kit etc. The same was true of the E46 coupe we had before.

Can't fit it in my E39 as the seats don't fold down even if I take the wheels off.
Update, 58cm bike does fit in the boot of the E39. Wheels need to come off and seat post but apart from that - like a glove.

Some people can't believe that getting the bike inside the car, is one of my requirements for buying a car.

Thank you all, for restoring my faith, that I am not alone.

My roadie fits in the back of my mk4 easy enough, both wheels off and the parcel shelf removed. No need to drop the seats. Would imagine the later ones the same but the higher boot floor of a 4wd one would likely prevent it.

My mtb fits in my mk3 mondeo hatch with the seats down no bother, don't have to take anything of which is nice.

My boss easily got two mtbs in his A5 saloon today with the front wheels off. Seats down of course.

One 54 cm Wilier GT with the wheels still on and a set of rollers fits very easily into the back of my Celica GT (seats down). Could easily get another bike in if the wheels were off, plus its rider in the front seat.

My Corvette Z06 will fit my road bike or my hybrid in the boot, with just the front wheel off, as well as a couple of holdalls, a rifle, various bits of shooting kit etc and still plenty of room for a passenger.

If there are any other supercars / super fast cars that can do that, I'll be interested to know.

Both wheels off, 30 split seat down. Added benefit of hearing more back box noise in the m3 lick
