Debating changing car, I've realised that actually its quite annoying not being able to fit a bikebox (hard case) inside - do folks with 1 series (I'm looking at M135 but assume boot is same across that range?) reckon with seats down and all that I could fit it in there?
Stupid question , but can the box fit through the boot opening?

I had an A4 saloon, big boot (for car size) but the boot opening was small, so I had to take off both wheels, seatpost and even handlebars.

If it was me I would buy the hatchback 1 series , although depends how often bike goes in car

I regularly put my bike straight in the back of my Porsche 928 with just the front wheel removed.

If you go back just a few pages there's several answers.
