Seen this being advertised, hopefully it won't be like the Gadget Show.

Graeme Obree and Gary Fisher on the sofa - that's brave...

It's crap so far

Maybe it's meant for people who have never seen a bike

It was poor, but I have hopes for it, give it a few episodes to decide if it's recoverable.

They need to get away from that cafe with the background noise though, that was poor. Longer film segments may be better, and less forced jollity on the sofa?

Surely the most surreal piece of television this year; Nigel Mansell, Gary Fisher and Graeme Obree all sat together on a sofa at LMNH - genious.

did anyone understand a word that Obree actually said? Legendary...

Loved it!

Enjoyed it, didn't set my world on fire.

Very road based, but given recent events you can forgive it that. Looks like MTB gets a look in next week at the Mega.

That sprint event needs to go.

That Scottish fella is disturbed, and his bike is a death trap.

Almost a critical mass of legends! It was sublime, and all three appeared to be genuinely enjoying the occasion.

Yeah apart from the odd way they all seem to have to duck down to hear the presenter whilst simultaneously looking high to the left at something, was very strange to look at.

Does Nige still race cars?

Totally bonkers! I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as it was only the first one.

Gary Fisher and Graeme Obree with "Our Nige" what a crazy line-up, I suspect neither Graeme nor Gary knew what each other said :-)

Thats said- good time to launch a cycling show on the back of the TDeF and Wiggo's win with (hopefully) Oylmpic cycling success in the near future.

Did it remind anyone else of Fifth Gear? (with the cafe setting and general chaos)

Utter toss...but I do admit to being an elitist roadie, considering most other riders who aren't in my clique "choppers" & despising Sky wannabe's....

Truth be told it wasn't really my cuppa, I enjoyed Obree & Fisher interaction mind you, both great minds in one way or another. The Box Hill bit was cringe worthy as was Hemingway's little skit. I don't know what I expected tbh....

OT, but if I was doing a cycle programme, it would be a two-wheeled version of clarkson's motorworld. The most (okay, only) entertaining bike thing I've seen on tv was 'Ride of my Life' by Rob Penn: mostly for a look at the craftsmanship involved in making certain parts (in particular the wheels, frame, saddle and tyres), but also the glimpse of different cycling cultures - contrasting the tifosi of Italy with the smugness of Portland and the general senile good nature of marin county.

Since no one else is interested in filming this series, does anyone want to give me a wad of cash, a film crew, and a few months off work so I could do it? No? I can dream can't I...

2nd one was a bit better for me, it's meant to be for every type of rider...

4mins to cover The Mega, the first being a thinly vailed for Kona / Rockshox. Nothing about the result (Brit came 3rd) or the fact it's part of a series.

The rest about road racing and road fashion.

It's not really for me.

Missed last weeks, saw tonights, (with FF over bits) not sure I'd watch another.
Needs something, actually needs a lot.

Awful. Very short segments because the programme maker is frightened of the viewer losing concentration.
Terrible rostrum camera, the filming of Eddy Merkx over the top of someone's head was amateurish. I thought there was a giant poodle in the studio.
The bike fit managed to cover the subject without actually explaining why they were changing things.

I guess the time is right for a bike programme, but it really needs to have some clear subjects. I really wish that programme makers had the confidence to cover things in decent length segments, and chop them up into really small pieces so that the children don't get bored. (Country file is awful because of this).

That's what got me, other than trying to show how her leg was not aligned from the from view, there was no info as to the correct angles etc just showed anges changing. And why they moved the seat except for better weight distribution. Just a we'll do this, and this, and this and there you go - wave to camera..... ps stopped watching Countryfile after the "great personel clear out" and cannot abide TG as that's a kiddies programme too. Bring back John Craven and Willie Woolard. ok Not WW, but a young Clarkson before his ego took over.
And why not get Garry Imlach or someone professional to present the Cycle Show

This evenings episode was a big improvement on the previous ones, I thought. Really would like to try the tiny velodrome!
