No, I don't have a problem with the games lanes (empty though they are). And it appears that people have heeded all the warnings, as there are far fewer cars on the commute than normal. What really gets my goat is the forty bazillion fair-weather cyclists who have popped up from nowhere, wobbling about and getting in my way. All of them without a clue about the rules of cycling in London...bloody amateurs. Added to which, there's now a queue for the showers at work. I just hope they all go back to the tube once the Olympics are over as it's my bloody road and my bloody shower. It's enough to make a chap quite narked.
Plus, is it just me or have they changed the phasing of all the lights so the red-red-red phases are much, much longer now? I'm really in quite severe danger of losing my natural cheerful demeanour, I tell you.

A good proportion of the fair weather cyclists are female. Some are quite tidy. So dangerous by their distracting nature...

Yeah... It's quite nice slowing down and enjoying the view at times!

I suspect young Mr Wiggins had more to do with this phenomenon (does anyone else automatically sing the next couple of bars of the Muppets theme to themselves whenever they write that word, btw?) than the Olympics.
I'd agree, however, that they've been messing with the traffic lights.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for cyclists going through red lights (safely) as they are out of the way when I pull away in my truck.
