Scary story, and healing vibes coming your way from all of us on here.

I heard a story on SingleTrack about a chap who had his bike taken at knife point on a trail, so it seems the chav scum have developed on from breaking into sheds and garages.

Take care out there everyone.

Hope the scrote has a stty Christmas. What happens next?... does the court make him pay you the value of the bike?

My friend has a Ti pin inside his shin-bone for 18 months but the break was multiple and pretty horrible. They didn't let him keep the pin when he (very recently) had it removed, unfortunately.

I have heard rumours about people being attacked for their bikes in parks near me in Stockport, but they were always "friend of a friend" type stories.

I am shocked to hear a story 1st hand.

I hope you sort things out, the arm mends ok and you get a replacement bike.

Best of luck.

Misseed this first time round, my feelings go out to you - as I know exactly what its like.

Same happened to me and a mate back when I was about 15 - I was on my beloved Kona, mate on a Rockhopper - messsing around in a local park. G

Big gang of scrotes 'pincer manouvred' us and closed in, brawl, wasnt gving up till one pulled a knife at which point I had to let it go and watched it ride off towards the local scum estate.

It happens - keep your eyes open and be alert when riding in these urban park type environments.

Just a heads up to anyone in Norfolk/Cambridgeshire there's a gang operating out of a white Ford Transit that will mobhandedly pull you off your bike and throw it in the back of the van leaving you wherever you end up. The last time it happened was in my home village Terrington St Clement but they (or some people with a similar van and modus operandi) as far as Hunstanton, Fakenham, Downham Market and Wisbech.

This is not the same group who attacked me so be careful out there.

My own personal update despite giving the Police the address of the scrotes who tried it with me and descriptions of the people and vehicles involved (including make, model, colour and number plates) the Norfolk Police are doing a grand total of fk all about it. So I now carry a solid metal pump and wear my carbon knuckle duster motorcycle gloves whenever I cycle anywhere.

Fecking shocking, good to see you are remaining upbeat and not letting the feral scum that surround us dent your humanity.

If the local bobbies aren't making headway via the descriptions and known associate routes ask them if they wouldn't mind circulating the description to the local 'shop-safe' radio users. The security staff at the local shopping centre and any large stores will tend to be familiar with all the local scumbags.

Get well sooon.

Well done for following through with your civic duties mate. A lot of victims bottle it, which only serves to embolden these nasty little scrotes.

Sadly, whenever a burglary, theft or assault happen, most local police officers will often have a shortlist of tts they wish the CPS/courst would keep locked up - and they're usually right, if not always able to find evidence or willing witnesses. It doesn't need more than a small percentage of utter dross to cause a large proportion of the crime.

Heal well chap. thumbup

Yes, I was given copious amounts of the stuff after my first two shoulder ops and never used many, but have saved some for 'best' (or a really rainy day), because there is no other feeling in the world that says "fk it, it'll all be okay" quite like it.

That's worth knowing, I cycle out that way sometimes...
