A nice ride around the trails near Alderley Edge today, bit annoyed as I was trying to get 1000ft of climbing, it's certainly my hardest ride so far since being back in the saddle 10ish weeks ago!

A very familiar sign!
Did Cragg Vale a couple of weeks back.
It was a bit bleak on the moor towards the end!

I only went up as far as Hinchcliffe this morning. Went all the way last week, what's supposed to be the easier bit near the top was a nightmare with the headwind!

Same for me.
I was doing OK on my borrowed, 25 year old hybrid heap of a bike until the last section.
Wind in the face + rain + 8km of climbing = nasty!

I've been on much flatter terrain this week on the Leeds Liverpool Canal between Leeds and Bingley.
Took the photo below during a 40 mile ride on Tuesday, went past again on a 38 mile ride today and will be past again next Tuesday too!
Got to love the good weather and a 2-week holiday from work.

It would have been a bit tricky if it wasn't for left side of bridge being tarmacked wink
