I'm doing exactly that in June - but with Nathan rather than Tony as he's not available now until July and I have a trip to BPW at the end of June.
Very much looking forward to both..
You'll absolutely rip it up with Nath i think! Unfortunately, i'm going to have to be on best behavior at BPW 'cause i'm off to the Alps a couple of weeks later and i don't want to be broken for that......I'm doing exactly that in June - but with Nathan rather than Tony as he's not available now until July and I have a trip to BPW at the end of June.

It's a fun day at Herts, and you come away so much smoother than you arrived ;-)

That's parallel with the main road isn't it? Quite short and steep from memory.I've never managed to get up the bugger, as it's considerably steeper than the Beacon Hill Road, with a much looser surface too. I run out of traction long before the gradient bites me. It's as much as I can do to push a bike up the damned thing, although I've seen local kids lobbing themselves down it on BMXs. It's actually quite a scary thing to go over, especially at speed, even though there's nothing really technical about it.
While you're up at Caesars Camp, keep your eyes peeled for them thar Aliens
Nice ride out from Dalmuir to Rowardennan today with a few mates, then when I returned home I decided 63 miles was not enough so I got the single speed out and went up to Eaglesham, Newton Mearns, Barrhead Dams and home, a total of 82 miles
